Lemon cookie recipe. and a link to the chocolate cookie recipe too.

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees

1 box of lemon cake mix. any brand.

1/3 cup oil

2 eggs

mix thoroughly.

roll into balls and roll through powdered sugar. drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet and dust with powered sugar after baking.

bake for 10-12 minutes. for really small ones you can bake for 8 minutes. these don't really change color when baked. so you can't watch for a color change.

**mine were big and took 12. but i don't think my oven works that well. it's a slow oven.

they are soft and chewy and super easy.

I like the lemon (zester?) cookies they have at Paradise bakery, and these had that flavor and softness. YUMMY!

~~

the chocolate bunko cookies. recipe here -i ended up with m&m , peanut butter and chocolate chip, and triple chip(peanut butter, butterscotch and chocolate chip together) they were oddly delightful.

~~

in other news. i am getting my crafts together for our super saturday enrichment. and some holiday mini groups. gotta make up my sign up sheets. and i'm using Creations by Belle for all the supplies. and vinyl WHOOHOO! she's nice, she's close and has lots of cute stuff.

so that's what i'm up to today.

Holy crumbs, I think that even baking challenged ME could pull that off. If only it didn't have eggs. *&%$!! shells!

i am going to tell you the same thing i told SuperCoolMom when i read about your awesome baking skills on her blog:

i have no idea when the last time that i had any sort of home made cookie was. i am not a baker. i wish i was, it's just too much science and math for me. i am cook anything...really i can, but baking no so much.

i am super jealous.

i will now go and "break and bake" a dozen frozen dough cookies and eat them all knowing they will never fill the empty void that is my non-home-made-baked-good existance. pathetic. true.

sigh.

HOWEVER...i seriously think i can do those lemon cookies...even i can't mess those up!

thanks for giving me hope and making me feel more...capable... yeah i guess thats a good word for it!

i also loooooooooved reading your reluctant hostess post, hilarious!

i love being the hostess. my clean house is totally wasted here in this dirty little town when no one visits...wasted!

Those sound absolutely yummy.

And have now given me even more incentive to actually manage to meet you. :) Because as well as I know myself, if I don't meet you and somehow convince you to take pity on my non-baking status and generously donate some of these to the cause here... I will never get to enjoy them. :)

Mamarazzi's little sis here.

I swear by cake mix cookies! It's pretty much the only kind I make anymore, because i always have the ingredients on hand.

Try this variation
1 box devils food cake mix
1 stick of butter
2 eggs
white chocolate chips

roll into 1 inch balls and bake. 7-10 minutes at 350*
YUM YUM YUM!!!

Thanks for the recipe. I love your blog.
