Miracle worker ...
Brooke squeezed Hope in at 7:00
and she worked miracles with what there was left to work with of Hope's hair.
Hope was in rare form with her talking on the way there, and while sitting in the chair. i think she was Stoked to be somewhere alone with mom.
doesn't she look excited?
really fun bonus surprise! i got to meet someone that knew me from my blog. Lynn! it was way fun to meet her. and yes! i felt very celebrity-ish. like i always do when i meet someone who knows me from my blog. of course i'm usually not looking my best and so the celebrity-ish-ness is quickly overshadowed at the horror of my own appearance. it's true. and of course the fear that people once they meet me in real life with think i am a SUPER DORK in not a cool way. who doesn't fear that? i totally do!
anyway. BROOKE IS AWESOME! i can't thank her enough for making that nasty hack job into a cute bob. there was a ton of hacking done by Hope. and seriously it's just hair. but i knew i wasn't able to fix that nastyness. I'm so thankful for awesome friends with Mad SKILLZ! Thanks Brooke! you ROCK!

That looks AWESOME! Really, it doesn't even look like a "fix-it" haircut.....let those bangs grow out a bit and no one will ever know. I guess from my comment on the before post, you can see I'm a bit on the reactionary side. :) That is great that she could fix up that kid hair-do so well. But I hope your little one learned that cutting your own hair is NOT the way to get a new look, even if it is cute. :) For YOUR sake I hope she learned that! :)
By the way, I REALLY enjoyed your comparison post earlier. You are a great mom to recognize and celebrate he differences in your kids.
She. Looks. ADORABLE. Seriously, that is the perfect cut for her!!!
Yay Brooke! Yay Mom for finding Brooke! Yay Hope for looking so stinkin' excited in that first shot it made me snort!
Brooke is AMAZING! Seriously--I love the new 'do! Your girlie has some seriously thick hair. And the bangs are way cute. I like it better...and it was really cute before...but it's adorable now.
I hear you on the meet-in-real-life anxiety. I met up with Cecily (see above commenter--ha!) and Kate a few months ago and I KNOW they realized what an idiot I am.
And a month or so ago, one of my FAVORITE blog-friends, Claudissima, did "The Pop-In." I WAS THRILLED! I screamed and jumped out onto my porch and hugged the guts out of her.
And then. I was boring as hell.
I'm NEVER boring as hell. But I was that day.
sigh.
YAY!!! She looks adorable! And WOW those blue eyes are amazing!! You would never know that this was a *fix-it* hairdo! WOOHOOO :)
wow...it was hard to imagine that it could actually turn out so cute but it totally is like WAY cute!
i had a recent "celebrity" moment in the market not that long ago. i should blog about it, i forgot!
How cute is she...it makes her look so grown up!
Such a cute haircut! Nice to know such talented people, huh?
That looks so cute! I heart Brooke.
Thank you so much for sharing your daily excitment. Your daughter looks beautiful and she looks so happy! It's fun to hear that this turned out to be such a nice experience. At age fifty I can remember talking with my Mother about the time that I decided I wanted to have bangs and cut them myself. That was about 45 years ago. She has Alzheimer's now and is in a hospice. I had totally forgotten until I read abou your daughter and her adventure yesterday. I'll have a nice time today when I see my Mother. Blogs are wonderful in so many ways. You share your present with us and awaken memories of happy times in the past. Someone recently told me "today is a gift, that is why it is called the present". Thank you again.
She looks adorable! Love that grin.
Such a happy moment for you all..She looks sooo adorable...It is so good to have friends with Mad Skillz!!

I am so impressed! You would never know she cut her own hair. (except for the bangs:) ) But bangs will be fine in a couple of weeks. Love the big blue eyes!
