feeling incredibly domestic, and an afternoon hack job. AWESOME!

Today was one of my more successful days.

i baked. oatmeal cookies. raisin and chocolate chip.

i made strawberry Jam.

i washed and folded 3 loads of towels. plus some other laundry.

i helped liberty type her book report. she will present a lifesize "portrait" of Fancy Nancy. ie dress up. but a written report has to go with it.

so while i was baking the cookies, and helping with her report. bad things were happening somewhere else in the house.

i was tipped off by Hope saying "look at me, Look at Me!" and after ignoring her for the standard number of requests, i did look at her. and HOLY CRAP!

she cut her hair!

ugly style!

a TOTAL HACK JOB!

OH MY GOSH!

it was the worst haircut given by my kid to themselves ever!

SO NOT CUTE.

it's mullet quality.

thankfully Brooke can squeeze her in tonight and do some damage control.

this is what she was looking like last Monday night.

she's recently been bragging it was getting so long. so much for that!

and after that fun discovery.

i went to see what pierce was up to? he was swinging his friend the Saw on the swing.

busy week this week. semi obligatory and semi self inflicted.

I'll explain that someday soon.

the obligatory stuff?

An intake interview for Pierce for a speech eval. AZ early intervention program. he's lacking verbal skills. the kid doesn't even say 10 words.

and Visiting teaching. tomorrow the last day of the month!

and enrichment mini group. Crafting a cute trick or treat sign.

Liberty's Birthday. this Saturday. the 4th.

and hmm standard house cleaning. and whatnot. i can't remember what else i had pressing on me. something ridiculous like self inflicted stress about decorating for Halloween. and other random grandiose ideas that I'd love to do but of course it won't happen.

so that's the fun of my day.

it was all pretty fab, except the hair hacking. hope your monday was fab too.

Did you scream when you saw her because I just did. Love Brooke! You'll have to post pics after she sees her. I want to see how she fixes it.

Shoot, she had such great hair! What can you do about those bangs? I have yet to have a child chop their own hair. My kids are too vain. Or I am jinxing myself and Bren wil do it next week!;) It was kind of mean to post pictures of delicious cookies where all the pregnant women could see them. They look soooo good!

Oh My! Do you ever get any rest?

YIKES! Caleb went through a hair cutting phase but its not as traumatic when they cut their already short hair shorter. Let us see the end result after her trip to the hair stylist.

Laughing my butt off over the saw picture. Such typical boy behavior!

First, those cookies look YUMMY!!!

OH NO!!! I cannot believe what HOPE did to her hair!!! My kids have never cut that much off their own hair, usually just one snip is the extent of their cuts!

Can't wait to see how it gets fixed! I'm sure it will still be really cute!

Ok that is just horrible, hair, only hair, Not for me, hair is very important at my house, vain yes, but tongan yes too.

Lots of bows to cover it up, and grab a barret for the bangs...

I love your jelly makin' skills.

teach us not so smart folks.

Yummy on the cookies. I made the lemon ones you posted the other day and they were great. I got the stuff for the others. And thanks to you I have a giant box of peaches on my counter to make freezer jam out of! I was planning on doing it today, but then the in-laws called to ask if they could come do FHE with us tonight so I spent my day doing a damage control clean-up of the main areas....jam is now tomorrow!

Holy crap on the hair...I. would.die. I don't care if it does grow back! I'm so sorry she found scissors. Oh well, in a few months, it will just be the pictures on the computer. Hopefully she won't pull that again. Good luck on trying to get it fixed...I guess she'll just have to survive the pageboy bob!

So sorry but I am laughing at the hair/hack job! My kids are notorious for doing stuff like that!
Lucky for you she is cute enough she will be able to pull a mullet off if it can't be fixed!
Yummy looking cookies. I want some now but am in the midst of moving! Bummer!

Oh, wow! It is bad haircut; I need to see the recovery effort from your friend/ hair cutter. I totally had to show Grant.

Please don't ever let my kids cut their hair.

Wow! That was a very domestic day. Her hair turned out really cute though. Amber cut her hair several times. The worst was when she cut off her whole ponytail. It was years before I trusted her enough to pull her hair up in one big pony again.
