Kiss me again!
i'm talking candy hearts tonight.
it's my fave time of year! i bought my abundance of Valentine candy for decorative purposes. and snagged a few of the conversation hearts. while filling my jars.
i like them fresh.
Yellow is my fave, followed by white, then pink. i'm not a fan of green, orange or purple.
so in my bag of small hearts. i got an odd one. that was totally new to me.
"top chef"
(OH i found an article about this one here)
REALLY? watching a little too much bravo eh?
or is that on Food network. what's next Top Design?
anyway ODD.
in my bag of big conversation hearts (necco brand) they had some environmentally friendly ones. (i found the actual article about them here!)
"Nature Lover"
"Heat wave" (i'm guessing the global warming people have honed in on a new avenue to get their agenda heard)
"Wild life" hmm interesting choice.
"Do Good" sounds a little tree hugger-ish to me."Practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty" i can feel this one. it's not that off. or maybe it's churchy, have you done any good in the world today?
what happened to kiss me again or sweet heart. hug me! i like you. i love you. call me?
Be mine?
COME ON!
now it's Fax me and email me. anyone see a text me one yet? i vaugely recall one like that last year. but i've yet to find one in either of the 2 bags i've gone through.
anyway. i totally used to be one of those girls that would sort through the WHOLE BAG of candy, just to find the candy hearts that had the special message i wanted to send to the boy i was crushing on at the time. i'd put them in his card. all special secret message-y and HOPE he got the hint.
DORKY!
i was one of those overly romantic boy crazy girls.
always blissfully in love with a boy who had no clue i existed.
i was also completely clueless that boys teasing you constantly meant they might actually like you. (we call it boy flirting)
i was oblivious to boy flirting, i've said it before, i was 20 before I could even grasp the concept. and by then i was married. and my husband was explaining it to me.
leaving me wondering if all those mean boys that teased me all through elementary school, Jr. High, and Highschool had other meaning behind the teasing i endured ?
i have to admit, one guy did set me straight once and told me that if he didn't like me , he wouldn't bother teasing me, he'd just ignore me. of course i doubted the validity of the statement and the meaning behind it.
always a doubter.
then guys could openly admit they liked me and depending on the guy, well i may not have been the nicest about it. i may have ignored them, or was outwardly RUDE to them. but only if i didn't like a guy was i SO rude.
if i liked them, well, i can't recall what i did. once in a while we "went out" as in going steady. which entailed writing notes or talking on the phone, holding hands and maybe kissing. rarely though.
anyway. i have valentines stuff on the brain.
Go get some candy hearts and tell me what yours say!
did anyone else do the subtle hint through candy heart messaging to someone special? EVER?
if you wanna confess it email me, or find me on facebook and confess it. i'd love to know.
i did this test on what my candy heart would say. of course I doubt it's accuracy. but it was fun.
it's on my facebook too. if you are on there. do the test and tell me what yours says.
