WTH? WEEKEND!

first. i woke up Saturday morning to little kids giggling in the back yard. Joy was the oldest kid home at age 6. and we slept in.

Joy and Hope were happily entertaining themselves. by creating a mud slide. which wasn't entirely obvious what they were up to when they came in naked with mud all over them.

apparently when you slide down the slide covered in mud your underwear gets too heavy to wear. so you should just start sliding naked.

the mud came from a hole the kids have been working on at the base of the slide on our playhouse.

it has been worth hours of entertainment for my pack of children. and a source of contention. today they were bickering about who dug the most mud. and whose mud it is. crying and hitting ensued. eventually i had to inform anyone coming to whine to me about mud was going to be grounded. and i didn't want to hear another word about it.

AH the wonder of digging a hole in the back yard. who knew it could be so fun?

next. i ditched church today.

i have pink eye again. why i don't freaking KNOW but it's there. and instead of sharing it. i stayed home from going to places where people shake hands alot. that and i was having some "Stress" .

and Peyton was asleep still. that kid slept all day. apparently he had lots of sleep to catch up on.

So when the end of church was coming near i suddenly heard screaming and yelling through an upstairs window.

WTH? i realized it was the neighbors down the street cheering about the end of the Cardinals game and their win! you know they were cheering loudly if they were in their house, and i was in mine and i could hear them!

i turned on the TV in my room where it was tivo'd and saw that they had won and were going to the superbowl.

amazing.

i guess i'll be watching that for the first time ever.

i watched my first and only world series when the Diamondbacks played. and i'll watch the superbowl just because the Cardinals are playing.

WHOOHOO!

so that's just a couple WTH? moments from my weekend.

another one? was when my kids were pretending to sword fight with giant pickles. 6 kids in a pack "fighting" with pickles. WTH? that is ODD!
