confessions of a church ditcher- staying home with Mr. Green Slugs.
yeah. i worried over nothing. Pierce and I get to ditch today.
lance has a class to teach. so that leaves me as the parent staying home.
Pierce has green slugs. it's rad. he's learning the wonder of the slurp. none of my other kids have done this. but he does.
he also wipes his nose on his arm. and then gets disturbed about the dry snot on his skin.
it's rad.
he keeps fighting the antibiotics. which gets OLD. he just gargles continuously. and doesn't swallow. he can gargle with his nose plugged, and his mouth shut. and still spit it out later.
it's wearing me out.
i wonder how long this is gonna last?
and now since he got his adenoids out? he is snoring LOADS MORE than he had before surgery.
i assume it's post surgical swelling while he's healing. but i don't recall the other kids having this issue.
anyone?
opinions? advice?

so that's what got me out of church for the day. unfortunately i "get to" clean instead.
what kind of crap is that?
and where is my logic? i could have had a couple hours kid free, sitting quietly at church. and now i get a few hours of cleaning and snot wiping. SWEET! i know you covet.
and i'm supposedly grounded from the computer for missing church, according to the kids. yeah because that's what they get if they stay home.
double standards. that's how i roll!

Gagging here over the descriptive loveliness.
oh my goodness i totally gagged and then did a few dry heaves over the slurpping...so yuck! my gag reflex is not typically that quick but wow..THAT got me going!
i don't know what to make of the other stuff.
see when you are grounded from the computer....you sit at the computer and do your "important things"...then when you hear someone walk in you jump up really fast and then pretend like you have doing something else the whole time. my kids think that works
You can only be grounded from the computer if you aren't doing what your supposed to. Snot patrol is a chore that no one wants so I think you have earned your computer time!
