cranberry juice anyone? plus MORE romantic speculation. is there a genetic link?

it's valentines day party day. yay on that.

with the exception of doing the valentines cards plus candy.

who came up with that retarded idea? the plus candy thing?

what happened to just throwing a couple conversation hearts into the envelope?

i love valentines day. but it's getting kind of ridiculous. mostly because i had to add 120 suckers to 120 cards. next year it'll be more like 140 something. or more. ugh!

pretty soon you'll be feeling obligated to hand out whole candy bars like on Halloween. everyone one upping everyone else.

well i refuse to be sucked into that conspiracy put together by candy and card makers.

i draw the line at a lollipop and card. THAT IS IT! ok and the tattoo or sticker if the card comes with it! but that is IT!

REALLY, I MEAN IT!

Oh and best part? While my girls were doing their cards, they had to pick SPECIAL ONES for certain people. with certain Messages/meaning.

"hey Valentine, I'm nuts over you!" with a picture of a squirrel. (joy gave that one to her major crush RIGGS! she's crushed on this poor boy for over a year.)

and so it begins....romantic notions. my girls were apparently born with them.

what? what's that? you hear an odd noise?

yeah that's just me quaking in my boots. (if i wore boots) I'm living in fear.

OH and Paxton and Liberty are both wanting to kiss people (My mom overheard them talking about it the other night and i asked them and they fully admitted it).

and they have crushes on people!

actually all of them have crushes on kids at school .

WHAT?!

i thought it was just me that was overly romantic at an early age. but NAH! apparently that is genetic.

I'm scared. hold me.

~~

THEN, while i was decorating Liberty's Valentine box? i put glittered paper on it, added a glittery heart. and was trying to pass it off as done, wanting to be done with this project.

i said,"is this good enough?"

Liberty's reply," not yet, it needs a bow and some rhinestones first. and some flowers!"

she is freaking demanding i add a damn bow!?!

it's really my fault.

i should have known someday when i wanted to do a half assed job on something , she'd be conditioned to think it was NOT fabulous enough without a bow, and rhinestones.

Who knew a flair for Bling could come back to bite ya in the butt?

well it is.

~~

if i don't catch ya again before Valentines day...

i saw these napkins at the store and had to take a picture.

sometimes this is TOTALLY TOO TRUE!

but i still love Valentines day.

~~

i'm cruising a UTI. it's my first. that i'm aware of. and really It's not great.

me and cranberry juice are friends now. GOOD FRIENDS.

oh and cranberry capsules. SURE. if it might help i'm all for it.

so i've been peeing like a racehorse all day.

and yeah i'm hoping another day of CRANBERRY JUICE and i'll be good again.

I can't believe you really thought you could get away without doing a bow! ;P

I don't love Valentine's Day so much. But I did make some cute things this year. I'm learning to like it more, but I'm against the whole being forced to show your love. I think it should be shown whenever you feel like it. And seeing couples out together on V-Day makes me want to barf. I have issues, can you tell?

They definitely came by that romantic streak honestly.

I had to make Kitty's valentine box too. Her's was a locker we copied from Family Fun Magazine. I must have spent two to three hours on it. And she musta asked me 20 times if/when it would get done. I think demanding comes with her age.

I am pretty close to you with the cards and suckers. I did probably 100 but we had to hole punch the pictures where the suckers were going in, so I had to do about 200 hole punches, so my hands were killing me.

Anyway, Happy Valenties Day!!

Ugh, cranberries.

My 6 year got a teddy bear from her admirer, which she did admit to kissing!

WHAT! You never got a UTI while pregnant!Way to forgo that nightmare...Hey, funny story. When I got married, I was worried about UTIs. I had a friend who said her sisters all got them after they got married.(you know..because of the s-e-x) So I asked my waiter on our cruise for cranberry juice. No, not on the menu. As far as he knew, not on the boat. But he found some. And after that every night when I came to dinner there was a glass of it waiting for me. So sweet. Hope the cranberry juice works for you!

lol. i totally agree with Tammy and i don't even know her. i'm not a huge valentines day fan, just don't care. i love when people show love throughout the year. but i'm totally with you on the candy thing. i don't even have kids, but it is totally moving toward getting out of hand. ;)

I always get a good chuckle with the saying.."Peeing like a racehorse!" Things that make you go HMMM....

Hope it gets better quickly...I have to say it's better than having gas...SHart!!

Hope you feel better soon!

Love the story about the bow and rhinestones! Why didn't you take pictures of it when you were REALLY done?! I love the teachers at school that have all the kids make a paper envelope or something "non-competitive" when it comes to cute valentine receptacles!

And I'm lame! No candy from us with our valentine cards.....my kids are handing out pencils. See. How LAME!

I can't even tell you how much I love and now want those napkins! How funny!

So funny about your kiddos having major crushes & wanting to K-I-S-S someone! HAHAHAHA

I was up SUPER late last night finishing the kids' valentine goodie bags. Well the kids filled them, then I made the cards on the computer, printed a TON of pages, then proceeded to cut out almost 100 cards (3x5), then hole punch once and twistie tie them to the goodie bags! Yep took me a while. But I think they turned out cute.

I know whatcha mean about the candy. I bought 3 big bags of candy hearts, 2 boxes of red hots and 2 bags of hershey kisses. Only to put a little handful into each bag. Oh well. The kids were happy & a little candy is WAY BETTER than none. Or at least the kids can feel cool about giving candy too.

Hope your cranberries are helping you!

Sorry about the UTI! I hope you feel better soon! Not a fun thing to go through:(

I love hearing stories of other kids crushes! Yours make me laugh. My kids have never told me of their crushes or likes! Maybe I should have them checked out to make sure they are normal! LOL
Maybe I should just count my blessings:)

♥ UTI's SUCK!!! I tried the cranberry juice the ONE time I had one just after the twins were born and it didn't help at all. The antibiotics where so my friend once I got them. I had to wait all weekend. Thought I was going to DIE!!!

I feel your pain. One of my daughters (10 years old) has had the same boyfriend for the last two years!!! What?! And he sends messages through his mom to tell her that he loves her when one of them is absent from school! I'm so not ready for this.
