Mesquite wash fun for Spring break! (pictures galore)

yesterday (Wednesday) for spring break we went with most of my siblings

for a delightfully adventurous afternoon at MESQUITE WASH, filled with critter hunting and wading in the water.

we roasted hotdogs and marshmallows and came home when the sunburns got too red.

i for one am BURNED and exhausted from the fun.

people caught crawdads, ,lizards, leopard frogs, toads and minnows.

it was Pierce's dream come true.

(remember how much fun he had here last fall?)

he knew when we pulled in just where we were and he was Ready to go! he resisted wearing clothing and hung out in his uniform.

Joy caught a new pet.

we did return it to the wild....

her happy goodbye was quickly replaced by bawling and wailing about her beloved pet being gone. which ended with promises from grandma to buy her one. or a fish.

(our fish was delivered this morning, lucky us)
