Watchmen- Crazymama's movie reviews

Last night for our Friday night date Lance and I went and saw "WATCHMEN"

so how about a movie review .

seriously unimpressed.

First turn off. GORE. tons of unnecessary gore.blood, guts, brains, arms being chopped off, dead dogs, gunning down women and children. bombs, splattering people, GROSS!

Then the sex scene? SERIOUSLY? lasted a little too long for me. sure they hooked up Great, but did we need to see all of that and for that long? I didn't and I'm no prude. and hello what about the people that took kids to see that? Seriously NOT FOR KIDS!

and Mr. Manhattan's Schlong? unnecessary!Where is the banana hammock? it was even an improvement to the visible schlong!

now i haven't seen the comic books for this one. but really?

AND ,i was bummed about Jeffery Dean Morgans Character in this. he's dreamy and the Comedian is NOT. bad. sure he played his part fine but the part sucked. raping someone? Killing, decking her? unimpressed. SAD! i was sad. it SUCKED!

i hated how dark this was. there was no heroics in it. no morals, no good vibes. NOT RAD! only one person had any respect for humanity , and even then he was a psychopath. WTH?

really i was unimpressed for the whole thing and am frankly surprised i sat through themovie and it was surprisingly LONG and since i wasn't enjoying it , it dragged. I'm shocked that we actually paid money to see it.

it was an impulse movie pick. and it sucked.

NOW of the trailers we saw before this movie?

I'M STOKED ABOUT X-MEN Origins:Wolverine

I can't wait. i've loved all of the X-Men Movies thus far!

so there you go! movie review by me! not fabulous! definitely not for kids. can't wait for X-men Origins. what happened to decent superhero movies?

Watchmen was NOT FOR ME! YUCK!

EW! It sounds terrible. Sorry you had to endure it.
We are excited to see X-men too. Maybe a double date is in our future!

Ya I heard that movie got bad reviews! Thanks for the warning I totally love Jeffery Dean Morgan and I don't want to see him play a bad part!

Oh I hate wasting money on bad movies. I read the IMDB parental guide on that movie and it turned me off for sure. I saw Push instead. Push was good, not great. Worth a view though.

I don't think I'd heard of that movie anyway.....we never go to movies so I just usually don't pay attention to what is coming out. Not that we don't like movies, we just never go to the theater. So I just watch for the new release DVD's in the local stores. I'll make sure I walk past that one in a few months. It sounds like something my husband might pick, so I know now to warn him about it too!

Love the new background. Very spring-like and cute. :)

Alright, alright, you don't see me crapping all over "Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood," do you? I'd have no right, because I'm not:

a.) female

and

b.) nuts

Admittedly, actually seeing Dr. Manhattan's member on the big screen was more disturbing than in the comic. But that's the point: If you'd never read the graphic novel (which is the winner of the Hugo Award and is on Time Magazine's Top 100 Books of All Time list), then you have no reference for what you are seeing, or even why you are seeing what you are seeing.

And I will say it here first, Crazymamaof6, Jackie Earle Hayley, who played Rorschach (the white masked guy) will win best supporting actor, much like the late Heath Ledger. You heard it here first.

And seriously, what a-holes bring kids to rated-R movies anyway? There was a whole family of kids in front of us at the theater and (thankfully) they sent them out with one of the older kids about 45 mins in.

Watchmen is better than decent. It's just a movie that wasn't made for you, or apparently any of your readers. May I suggest renting "Girl Interrupted" the next time you get a hankering to see a movie based on a comic book.

Harold and the kids went to see it. They didn't love it either. It was OK, but he thought the sex scene was totally unnecessary. The kids had to keep covering their eyes. And the "swinging sirloin"..... Way Gross! Some of these Rated R movies go too far. And the sex scenes are not even needed. If someone needs to see that stuff they should just watch some porn. Why do they have to ruin a good Action Adventure or violent movie by putting that sex in there so you have to cover your kids eyes. Lame.

The Movie "Taken" was awesome. Not for kids and not for those who like to travel. It will freak you out.
