State of Play-
LOVED IT!
i almost didn't wanna see this, because i avoid movies that might cause me additional stress.
i've figured out, i have anxiety. if i see movies that add to that. i end up REALLY pissy.
so i avoid them. like KNOWING- HATED IT! while it was interesting and all, it gave me some major anxiety. i also didn't like War of the Worlds, and Beautiful mind. they were all anxiety causing for me. and hated all of them. and NEEDED some major retail therapy to calm down after them.
most of the time i only like light funny movies. romances. comedies etc. Girl movies.
i don't often stray from that.
the exception is generally made for comic book movies or action movies. like Spiderman, X-men (going at midnight this week for WOLVERINE! hee hee) i like Jackie Chan movies. and i like some other action movies. but don't usually seek them out. the new Star Trek movie looks good. and i kinda wanna see the Dragonball movie that is out right now.
State of Play is a suspense thriller right? with the whole murders at the beginning, it could have stressed me out. but it picked up and got going on the case/story and kept moving. fast paced. exciting. totally interesting. a little suspenseful. happy conclusion . yay. i thought it was funny they mentioned 'bloggers' a bunch of times.
i liked it.
that's what we did for Last night's date. it was perfect.
we hit Fry's on the way home for some last minute sunday stuff, and to maximize the rad sale they had this weekend.
and then sonic for icecream on the way home.
Today. we didn't all get ready in time for church. Lance took the couple that were ready, and the rest had to stay home and clean. and help cook dinner.
we made meatloaf balls (the boys mixed it, and made all the balls. all the kids wanted to do that, GROSS! i don't touch raw meat they were stoked to do it!). mashed potatoes. asparagus, and strawberry short cake. rolls. HEAVENLY ! it was the best dinner we've had in weeks. we all agreed it's been too long.
i always get that meal when i have a baby or for my Birthday. it's been a way long time now. i can't recall the last time we had meatloaf balls. (it's meatloaf, made into balls instead of a loaf, so it's cooked better, and it's not too juicy or mooshy.)
anyway. so there we are.
OH i'm loving facebook today. i just tracked down my best friend from when i was little (she was my neighbor until i was 6) . i was pretty darn excited. now to catch up.
she was the one in the Pink dress, with my brothers Bruce and Aaron.i was wiping my nose. and my sister Maria in the mariachi costume. we were all set for CINCO DE MAYO!
that black skirt outfit i had on? PAINTED VELVET with sequins ! i still have the skirt i think. wonder if it would fit one of my girls? it was all authentic from Mexico, right down to our sandals . that we'd draw our foot on a paper, and the shoe guy would make with leather to the exact shape and size. (i still have my sandals somewhere too. just the exact size of my 5 year old foot)

My mom used to take me to get sandals made just like that. It was somewhere in downtown Phoenix. Wow, I haven't thought of that in years! Thanks for the memory!
