say it with me....We Love you Miss Hannigan!

today's agenda? cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping. playing referee.

whee!

can i just say, i don't LOVE waking up to kids screaming at eachother, and fighting.

it frankly pisses me off. these people woke me up at least 4 days this week fighting , and waking me up to tattle about it. OR i could hear the fighting all the way from the kitchen. and it's been EARLY like 5:30 or 6 am.

SERIOUSLY? what is in the air? full moon? overly hot? sun coming up?

WHY ME?

it's driving me NUTS!

the whining, complaining, hitting, screaming, name calling. naughty freaking kids.

i'm making them do their penance by cleaning.

no wonder i feel like Miss Hannigan. "rotten pig droppings!"

but then.... Joy is especially thrilled to be scrubbing the bathtub today.(no joke, she's singing and dancing around in a braggy way)

in case you wonder, last night's hot date consisted of Applebees for dinner, and hitting the bookstore.
we don't get much variety in our date plans. seems like we go to the book store every other week (if not every week.)

do you have any great date ideas? share them! please and thank you!

do you know any great restaurants we need to try out? we seem to be in a rut.

any other fun (and cheapish) ideas?

We're having the same fighting issue at our house. wth? One would think that after this many years of being told not to wake me up with yelling and arguing they would start to figure it out....but nooooooo! Perhaps I should learn a new language and see if they understand that one. lol

I have to laugh that I put the pig dropping line on your facebook status, and then came here and you had put it here! At least I'm now sure you'll know what I'm talking about! :)

I heard the BEST behavior consequence for kids fighting with each other the other day....whoever is the instigator has to be the other one's servant for the day! Love it! But now I have to figure out how to get to the bottom of things and figure out who serves who....still looking for a good cure for tattling though. Maybe tattler and tattl-ee get the same consequence?

If you find a solution for tattling and fighting please pass it on. I would love to know. You would think after all these years and the tattler gets in just as much trouble they would figure it out! And I'm sorry but my alarm clock goes off at 5:30 every day but sat and sun, please don't wake me up with fighting or coming to ask me what you can have for breakfast, if you can find it you can eat it saturday morning, I really don't care I just want to sleep. I think they were meant to be farmer children, up at the butt crack of dawn!
P.S. I feel like miss Hannigan most days, maybe a tub full of gin would help!

Going on a weekly date would be a way to change it up around here. LOL!

I hate paying babysitters etc...

I also hate being woke up with fighting, its a big NO NO around here. If they do it, straight to their room.

Man, we are truly from the same generation.... I LOVE Miss Hannigan!!! Seriously. Sometimes I catch myself singing "Hard Knock Life" for no reason!
Maybe we should make a sign for your bedroom door that says, "All complaints will be dealt with after 9am....if they still matter then...." LET's USE PUFF PAINT!!! hee hee that'll show 'em!

ooooh- good idea doing hard labor for penance. I tend to take stuff away and ground them, But your way seems far more productive. But then do they learn to hate chores? I guess they do anyway. Next time maybe they'll have to scrub this floor till it shines like the top of the chrysler building!
