it's still wednesday?

wow. for a day that kind of flew by, i'm surprised it's still Wednesday.

this morning we got ready and went to breakfast/lunch with my fave gals.

it was our last lunch of the school year. (we don't usually all go to lunch when it's summer because that adds up to an A load of kids-ok and yes most of them are mine, but taking everyone to lunch isn't that fun.too many little ears listening, and it's stinking expensive to take them out every week.) plus it makes the first day of school that much more exciting, because we go to lunch again.

we had a great time. Hope didn't go play at all today though because Melanie had her baby there , and Hope wanted to hang out by her. (yes my kids love babies too)

so after that i got to deal with my new insurance guy. who happens to be a friend. so he dumbed it all down for me and walked me through it. (sometimes i'm kind of special ed)

Do you need a new insurance guy (auto/Home)?

by then the herd came home(i forgot about early release) so they were talking back and peeved i didn't pick them up. (which i fully intended to do, whoops.) especially since they were lugging home HUGE HEAVY BACKPACKS full of stuff.(CRAP!)

it was only mildly embarrassing having that happen while i was on the phone with the insurance guru. he was highly impressed with the change in my voice between talking to them(with the mouth piece covered), and then to him. something about decibel change was mentioned? and maybe MOTHER OF THE YEAR? he's funny too.

yup. it was the high point today.

so after that fun, i told the kids if they cleaned up some stuff, then we'd go swimming again. since we had the goggles and whatnot that swimming requires.

we waited until Lance could go and hang with us this time.

the kids had a GRAND TIME!

it was like i was there by myself for awhile though, because he was on a call for a LONG TIME. but it was still fun.

the kids were highly impressed when i put on some goggles, and did a handstand in the pool.

everyone is trying to perfect that new trick. so i had to show off my mad skillz.

anyway. we hit sonic wacky Wednesday on the way home (it was past dinner time) and everyone was swimming starved. (you know that famished feeling when you get done swimming , you're suddenly STARVING? yeah like that)

i went up to shower after dinner, and came out to all the kids gone to bed. and asleep. YAY ME!

but i was kinda shocked to realize it was still Wednesday. it's felt like Friday all day to me.

TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! WHOOHOO!

i admit, I'm kind of excited.

we'll do great. it will be a fun summer.(if i keep telling myself that, it will come true right?)

my teacher gifts this year? $10 gift cards to Tar-jay. not super original or crafty-fabulous. but useful for sure. and i got the gift cards that came with the free reusable tote bag. 2 gifts in 1. yay!

so for those that are DONE TOMORROW!?! Happy last day of school to you!

SERIOUSLY if you need a quote for Home or Auto insurance, ask me and i'll give you his name so he can work his magic for you. we have better coverage than we had before for less money. Who doesn't love that?
