Thinking Thankful Thoughts for November

it's November and while i lean towards skipping the thanksgiving holiday grateful vibe all together and just jumping head first into christmas (the retailers are in full swing and I'm ready to hop on and enjoy the ride) I've decided maybe i should take the chance to be thankful this month. sometimes it's great to write it down and be reminded.

so i am going to come up with something to be thankful for every day this month. it may not be spectacular or thought provoking but I'll try to come up with something.

today's thankful item?

#2 - it's been one month today since i got out of the hospital (with pancreatitis) and the hospital bills started rolling in and I'm thankful that they aren't as bad as i anticipated. in fact i think my flexible spending account may cover most of them. WHOOHOO!

and since i didn't start until today here is yesterday's....

#1 - I'm thankful that my husband likes to party with my family and that he decided we needed to host and throw together dinner Halloween night. the kids had a blast together and i loved trick or treating with some of my siblings and their kids.

and while i'm doing this, i'm still gonna get my shopping done, and decorate early for Christmas. yeah.I . Am. but first i want to repaint the front room. we'll see how i do.

some friends do this every month and i'm so not that good. but if you wanna play along for the month feel free. let me know and i'll come see what you are thankful for this month.

First off YAY for the bills not being as bad! I know you were worried about that one. And love the idea. I too am not good to do this every month. If you need help painting you know I can help!

hmmm. what am i thankful for today! Although I wish it would be cooler outside and I didn't have to have my AC on, I am thankful that I am not stuck in the snow somewhere or having to shovel my driveway ;)

By the way I am back to blogger...wordpress could be cool if you pay for things. So I am also thankful for blogger and all the cool things you can do with your page!

Great things to be thankful for. I may just play along. I'm always impressed by ONEHM's list each month and think I'm going to do it, but then forget.

I can't decorate for Christmas yet- just can't do it. But I can't wait to see what you work out.

Love your list writing one thing every day this month is such a good idea! I look forward to reading all your gratitude list.

I started this "tradition" last year in November and LOVE IT. It really makes me stop and think each day of something that I am truly grateful for. Glad that you are doing it this month.
