life is just so DAILY

I picked up my Christmas cards yesterday and they are FABULOUS if i do say so myself. (and obviously i do.)

I addressed 115 Christmas cards last night. we hand delivered some today. and the rest are getting mailed out as soon as i can get to the post office. i didn't get to go get my Christmas card pedicure though, it seems they aren't open all night. and i just wanted to get them done.

my tree is up with Lights on it, even though i had to go to 3 stores to find some, and ended up getting them at Walgreens because the usual sources were sold out. seriously this understocking to avoid overstock at the end of the season is bugging me. BUGGING ME! lack of selection, not enough of basics. dang this freaking economy.

This morning we went to the Primary meet your teacher breakfast, and guess what?! Pierce is a sunbeam. i don't have anyone in nursery anymore. i can't believe it, I've had someone in nursery continuously for the last 10 years. **Sigh**

Sometimes things just go wrong at the worst possible moment. like the van not starting last night, RIGHT when the kids are supposed to be at their dance recital.

Yet somehow it still works out. not like we planned, but it was still Ok.

my aunt picked up half of us and my mother in law picked up the rest, and luckily one of the main dancers was stuck on the freeway trying to get there so the recital started late.

the recital was AWESOME and the kids did great!

afterward we got a ride to go out for treats with my siblings, and my mother in-law loaned us her spare car. Whew.

today the hubs will fix the cars and well be all set again. while we will decorate the tree. and deliver treats and cards and some gifts.

then next week all i will have to do is entertain the troops and keep up with the messes, oh and wrap.

Wrapping? are you done yet?

Cards? did you do some? how many?

Have you noticed stores are stocking less? what did you think about it?

**EDIT** looks like we are getting a new fuel pump for christmas , whoohoo, just what i always wanted.

but the bright side of the van breaking down is...it died in the driveway, not on the side of the road somewhere. that is seriously a HUGE BLESSING! so while it kinda sucks, it's all cool, because i wasn't traumatized in the process. the little car will be fixed up , and we have a car to borrow, until the van is fixed. whew!

I haven't wrapped a single thing.
I actually had my very sweet friend (whose kids are all grown) offer to wrap all my gifts for me. Can you believe that? :)
Yes we did cards, I slimmed it down to 125. It was hard to eliminate almost 50 peeps, but it had to be done. (Don't worry, you're getting one.)
I haven't really noticed that the stores are out of things...I haven't done very much shopping this year.

We decorated the day after Thanksgiving...and wrapped all the gifts we bought on black Friday on Saturday. Send out cards, 100 of them...We usually don't do so many but I got 100 FREE cards this year! YEAH for finding deals! Can't wait to see yours! We're packing up the car right now and heading to Cali! MERRY CHRISTMAS Crazy Mama!!

Nothing wrapped. Except the one gift we HAD to get shipped yesterday....all the rest we just had sent directly to out of towners. My husband tells me we are going to start wrapping tonight after the girls dance performance. I think he must be smoking something, because I know dang well we won't wrap a thing!

No cards yet. That is something that has been moved to an after Christmas project. So not festive on my part, but in my usual procrastination, it got moved. But hey, at least I'm not dropping it entirely! :)

I had this feeling to get everything wrapped the night of the 2nd. Nathan hated me for it because he ended up doing the majority and we were up most the night. It worked out though because we were sent to the hospital the next day to have Sophia.

Car dying in the driveway is always a blessing. And having relatives nearby too.

I was done wrapping on Monday, except for the last thing Luvpilot is bringing home today.

Cards? Nope. Didn't get them done. And not stressing over it is giving me a huge relief.

I feel like the stores run out of things early every year, not just this year. Especially Target. They run out of everything early it seems like.

So sorry about your fuel pump!!

I did 100 cards this year, most hand delivered. I mailed the last batch today (yay me!).
