top ten tuesday- 10 things i thought looked really fun to do for halloween but never got around to. and it is too late now!

10. caramel apples! seems like everyone did this and posted a recipe! they looked heavenly and i wanted one really bad. did i do this? nope! maybe next year! i have my pick of recipes at least! thanks Carey, and Kylie, and everyone with the ambition t0 make a good apple great with caramel! MMMM YUMMY!

9. carving or decorating pumpkins. ahhhh ! my kids asked, i didn't give them a definite answer or even the standard "we'll see"( which means no and they know it.) i saw pumpkins early in the season but was afraid they'd mold or something. then i think i was feeling cheap and then i didn't even take notice of them, avoiding them all together i guess. and one time at costco, Lance was eyeing the ornamental, cute, tiny gourd and mini pumpkin assortment bags and i took one look at a moldy bag and said no way jose! i was a tad tempted myself yesterday but still resisted! yeah bah humbug on the pumpkins i guess. i hate moldy vegetables. the risk of decay, EWWW! that and i thought maybe if we did manage to do #5. i'd get them there. see #5 for details.

8. Boo at the zoo. fun idea but lacking follow through! oh well the kids didn't even know it was an option!

7. Pierce's costume-my little sheep. to go with Hope's bo peep . fabulous wonderful Brooke picked me up a cute sheep costume at Saver's! but i have yet to try it on him. and i have failed to get sheepy fabric to make some ears. i wanted to yesterday, but on my adventure at the new Walmart at Dobson Riverview, i discovered they lack a fabric section! seriously what is walmart thinking getting rid of the fabric sections? i am sad about that! i depend on convenience. just another reason i didn't love that new walmart, that and they didn't have any plain t-shirts. all i wanted was a plain brown boys t-shirt. and nada! i had to go to tar-jay! and so maybe i can hunt some sheep fleece down tomorrow! and whip up some fluffy sheep ears for it! i plan on hot gluing them. i am so crafty-talented! (making it up as i go along! ) especially with the hot glue gun! and i need to change the ribbon on it from pink to blue and whahlah! happy Halloween costume!! love Halloween for babies! and if it doesn't fit him because he is giant, i have a back up Dumbo costume from Paxton. always gotta have a plan! FABULOUS! maybe i should wash his Halloween t-shirt too in case of unforeseen fit throwing. it is always a risk!

6. i wanted to boo people. you know the secret phantom, bearing treats? yeah i wanted some for myself really and i wanted to do it to other people but alas the days have passed quickly. and no one booed us . shoot! there is always next year! i guess you have to start it if you want it. i thought about it for FHE but didn't follow through on that either.

5. HMMM i wanted to go to mother nature's pumpkin patch! seems like everyone did! Audrey, Dendi, Sarah, April, and I know there are others! i had every intention of going but didn't talk Lance into it. i should have taken the babies by myself then.AND i had no desire to go to Schnepf farms. we did that one year, exactly once, when Peyton was 2 ,almost 3 , Liberty was 2, and Paxton was 10 months, in the triple stroller with Lance's mom and sisters and no hubby and i was prego with Joy but hadn't found out yet. so i spent alot of time in the bathroom that trip too. i didn't love it , and i have no desire to do that again. i felt so tired and dusty- dirty after that.

4. making my Halloween craft from Tammy's homemaking. it is a painted wood and vinyl letter decoration that i failed to finish! or even start. shoot. maybe tomorrow i'll whip it up.

3. Baking and eating holiday sugar cookies! Dendi did a great post about sugar cookies she let her kids decorate! and Cara gave a fabulous recipe for her grandma's special cookies with a cute dipping idea too!

2. seems like everyone has been to Disneyland this month! and all the super cute pictures standing with the giant candy corn and mega mickey mouse pumpkin jack-o-lantern thing! and the talk of the haunted mansion! So cute and fun! and obviously tons to do and see! makes me think i need to plan for next year and go at this time of year! it seems like the most fun! and i still have never taken my kids to Disneyland , so this time next year, I AIM TO GO! and take my family of course! and you wanna know who went this year? ONEHM, Tammy, LINDA, Katie, BROOKE, Kim, Libby! who else? I'm sure there are more! seriously cute and so fun! thanks for the great ideas everyone! it is better than a commercial ! and way more tempting too! NEXT YEAR! SHHHH, it's a secret!

and my number one thing i wanted to do but didn't get around to this Halloween season?

decorate! i know heaven forbid! everyone had the cutest table displays and decorating ideas! i felt so inspired!TAMMY, BROOKE, ONEHM,LAURIE, PARTY OF 5, KRISTY, CAMI, and the outside effort too by JESSICA, and ANDREA! Cute pumpkins and Cara's candy! so festive! So fun. and all the phenomenal party decor too! and fun games and activities! all fabulous and left me feeling so inspired and wanting to do it up big! so tomorrow! i am taking down the painters stuff, over my cute shelf and mirror and cleaning up the front room and decorating for Halloween! better late than never! maybe I'll even take pictures! the hold up? i kept cleaning instead of decorating. and why decorate if it isn't neat and tidy to be admired. so i really truly need to over haul my thinking and de-clutter my life. my holiday decor ideas are suffering!
