Happy New Year!

so what fun thing did you guys do?

here is our New years play by play.

Well Joy invited herself for a sleepover at grandma Jones' house. and invited Hope and liberty to come too. my mom is too nice. and a sucker for anything Joy comes up with . so they did that for new years. and for the bulk of the evening i dropped off liberty, hung around at mom's and then went to fry's for supplies. i had not purchased any sparkling cider for New years! so i went to Fry's and wandered around reveling in my free time. looking at clearanced Christmas stuff. and generally wasting time. i bought some random brand of sparkling juice crap because they were sold out of Martinelli's . and it was totally gross! We hung out with the big boys and then played guitar hero for a long while until 2 minutes until midnight when we watched the ball drop in New york then we rang in the new year with a toast of sparkling cider and other nasty carbonated juices. i was being adventurous, and got Concorde grape, pear, and white grape. ewww. next year i am shopping ahead. and stocking up on the good stuff. i tried to get the boys to make resolutions the last few seconds before the ball dropped. i was rooting for "do what mom asks" but they picked, read more books this year from Peyton, and Paxton said get better at playing star wars. yeah. rad. all day i said remember you are going to obey mom? and Paxton is smarter than that and remembered the star wars resolution. a mom can try right? so yeah hot night in! with my boys. i was rocking guitar hero. i am ready to start playing on medium. whoohoo!

this morning we went to our friend's annual omelet party. they invite all their friends and make omelets and scones. seriously i love the scones but this year? i actually ate my first omelet! yes! I've never eaten an omelet before. it was a big year for me already. trying new things. so fun to see my girls night out friends it has been like 2 months. we really need to plan something fun! small group though so it can be extra super fun!

and tonight i got suckered into yet another spend the night. tonight we have Nate spending the night, and Peyton went to Nate's house to sleep over with Will , and as a last minute wild card Hope went for a spend the night with Maria. So i traded 2 kids for one. great! they are playing star wars Lego the complete saga on wii. a great time for them. i haven't seen them at all. fabulous for me ! and since Hope is gone Liberty is sleeping in Joy's room just for fun! (liberty has her own room downstairs)
