when planning for christmas...
remember.
decorations, don't matter to anyone but me...
no candy in the stockings, tooth brushes and cereal are must haves.
beef jerky smells bad and gives bad gas.
no body cares if you send a card or not. and nobody reads the long notes but me. pictures only
charge the toy RC cars early, don't ask lance to do it ,he won't
un wrap everything and get rid of the recycle early and the trash too.
one thing per kid.
small stuff is crap. a ball is always fun. for everyone.
stick to the stuff they play with. only one or two games
pj's and an outfit for everyone is money well spent
shoes are good too.
cash and gift cards when they get older.

a new outfit to wear on christmas for me is a must have -no thinking about what to wear.
bikes or something to ride is fun. or do outside
and maybe santa can bring a pet( kitten ) if and when we have a yard.
and buy a doll for the boys too if all the girls get one, or they will take mine
and a storage tub for everyone in the corner to put their new stuff in like the stocking stuff.
no fruit in the stocking. use balls for filler, doesn't rot or smoosh.
gosh why didn't i find this sooner? dang!
and what the heck was i thinking with the pet? good thing i came to my senses on that! maybe becuase we got one for Joy's birthday.

This list is perfect. Yes you need to change Dr's. Don't you wonder sometimes why we buy toys because who playin with em?!?! Sorry about that flood that really stinks!!!
That is a great list! I LOVE a good list. I make lists like that all the time and never find them when I really need them. What's up with that?

I have to agree, small stuff is crap. I tell myself that every holiday. And I like the bins in the corner. What a great idea. I love the new look.

Great list! But I DO read everybody's long stories in their cards. I love to hear what's been going on. But with blogs now, you probably don't really need to. How great to give advice to yourself. I once made a list of what kind of mother to not be when I was a teen, then stuck it in my hopechest. Now that I'm the Mom I looked at it and threw it out the window.
I really love this list! I love socks in stocking (they are a room taker too).
