huge plans today. a little visit with the oral surgeon.

OH yeah. HUGE! first let me start with i hate going to the dentist. i don't go for regular check ups and haven't for years due to lack of dental insurance. plus then the expense of treatment. and everything else. that and i had a root canal in 8th grade that turned me off to those forever .
SO i hate to go. And let me stress i brush 2 or 3 times daily, floss regularly, it's just the dental visits i lack. why i admit this lack of oral hygiene/maintenance is beyond me. but you know me. and seriously it's what's going on with me today. i have a couple molars that are pretty well shot, parts broken , gapey holes(i swear there is a direct shot to one nerve). but you can't see them and they don't really hurt that often. so i leave them (to rot) and finally last week. the major nerve pain started happening. only if something touched it or if something got stuck up there. brush floss, all better. so all week i've been feeling like A$$ from it. but keep going.
and then a 2 days ago major constant pain. yeah so i started taking Motrin or Advil. and bought some orajel which doesn't do anything but i'm surviving. then yesterday MAJOR pain! headache, earache, whole side of my face is hurting. so by afternoon, i'm crying about it to Lance, and he's just totally pissed at me for not calling sooner. he'd told me everyday to call and go in. somewhere , anywhere. well he finally called his dentist. and they told me to come right in. i went. and ONE is not savable. yeah i knew that. BAD! and another one is in the root canal zone but they would pull it if i wanted. since i hate root canals i want both pulled, faster pain relief than a root canal and cheaper, way cheaper . SO instead of taking them out, he referred to the oral surgeon. yeah . RAD! it was too late yesterday the oral surgeon was closed. and he sent me home with hydrocodone. (which apparently makes me ill. no barfing but close a few times) i called this morning asap and she tells me at first they are booked today, it would be monday, it'd been a long night, sick and in pain. so i cried a little, and looking at her schedule she said monday was booked too. so somehow she is squeezing me in today. at 10:30. awesome. i am a dental rockstar, no flinching for shots , and only a local for my impacted wisdom teeth when i got those pulled. so really it should be a straightforward deal. maybe me saying i only needed a local changed the schedule in my favor. really who knows , who cares. can't wait.
so yeah i've been feeling nasty from something, and then the tooth ache. and now from the pain meds. and after this from the extraction. and bonus i get to pay up front and then they will bill for me. but i don't care. glad there is still tax money sitting around.
and i swear after this good time, i'm gonna get on my dental stuff. get minor stuff taken care of asap and not let it get this bad again. all those years without dental insurance. all the years of daily morning sickness and all that entails, and All the years of soda drinking. and acid reflux, yeah. RAD. i'll probably end up with implants someday, and not the fun kind but the oral kind. whoohoo. probably not blogging today.
