Photo story friday. -my grease monkey and the oil slick

Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

the other night, i was leaving comments galore on a friends blog. while my 9 year old made brownies. well his assistant (today i'll call him the grease monkey) stole the bottle of oil and lubed up my tile floor. i discovered the problem when he brought me the bottle of oil asking for more. it was AWESOME. so i made a couple more comments, and made a plea for any advise for cleaning up oil on tile, on my own blog. and finally i got around to cleaning it up. a friend suggested baking soda. it did absorb it, but i ran out all too fast. Then i tried cornstarch, which got slimy, and made a nice goopy substance. in the end i had to mop it up with paper towels, and then mop with some cleaner that was supposed to cut grease. while i was doing the paper towel clean up, my grease monkey climbed up on my back for a ride, the older kids snapped a picture. here you go. and that is my photo story Friday.

Hmmm....wonder who's blog that was you were posting a zillion comments on, and why???? You're welcome for the baking soda idea -- I don't even know where I had heard that one, or how I even remembered it. I'm loving the pic of him on your back.

Love the photo of you cleaning it up with monkey on your back! The worst I've had is soy sauce all over wooden flooring; can't imagine cleaning up oil!
