productive. and it's a miracle at that!

well, semi productive at best really.

i managed to tackle the little girls room. where Hope and Joy live. and let me tell you is was NOT CUTE! gross, is a more accurate description. and seriously i don't spend tons of time in there, there was a path , and that was about it. but today i tackled it. with their help a little bit. and i finally made their beds up with their new comforters,(that i bought last year and was waiting on, don't ask me why,) i think i wanted a clean room first. So cute. they were pretty excited and now i can tackle the toy situation in there, and in the playroom(new dressing room) yeah the toys are still in the dressing room. which frankly chaps my hide. but first things first right? i have to have clean organized bedrooms to move the toys into. and on the way purge the stuff i don't love, they don't use, or i just hate. anyway. one step closer.

i made lunch. and really cooking for 8 midday is ridiculous. but it has to be done. i'm ready to start calling it supper and the big meal of the day instead of doing 2 big meals. and especially since they didn't eat the dinner i cooked very well. AND . I'm sorry but i thought it was customary to come to dinner when you are called, not when you get the load of laundry in and sorted? after sending out a work email and before the kids loose interest and bail. i dunno i thought it was a everyone together moment. somehow we didn't get that. just one more reason i don't love to cook. seems like whenever i do, people don't eat, and I'm left disappointed. are my expectations too high?

i guess i should just be celebrating that the majority of the clothes in the house are CLEAN. Lance has been rocking the laundry. and i'm loving the dressing room for the fact that as it's clean there is a place to stick it. we are officially out of kid hangers, that is saying alot. and i must go purchase more. lots more. and i think it's time to purge too. just to free up some hangers.

also blog worthy Lance changed the brakes on the van today. in record time. WHOOHOO!

hmm. we had family night. OHHH LAAALAA! yeah . i even did the lesson. on saying kind words instead of talking mean. something i could totally take to heart. and then we went and bought Popsicles. FANCY!

tomorrow there is secret fun planned. OH YEAH! big fun! and yet i will wait to blog it after we get home. but you should know i have the plaid shorts all clean. for the WHOLE HERD! totally a whole family outing, gotta match. have i mentioned the reason we all match, or i should say everyone but me? well because

  1. if i loose one, i know what they are wearing and can tell whoever i need to .
  2. i can spot them in a crowd, as opposed to having them blend in.
  3. everyone knows they belong to me, because spares rarely have matching outfits
  4. i can wash everyone's clothes afterward in fewer loads
  5. i love the WOW factor.
unfortunately it doesn't impress the side of the family we are going with, and i do not flip them the bird. but you can imagine how snotty, rude, tactless comments fly with me? mentally i am ripping new ones, and using all the restraint i can muster. and I'm already feeling stressed in advance. it could be a splendid day. we'll see. and if it isn't i won't be able to vent about it here anyway. bummer! but upsode will be Lance will have a fun day off for once.

So that is the fun. i still have more rooms to tackle. a little list won't hurt so i can refer back?
  1. Pierce's room
  2. dressing room
  3. my room
  4. laundry room
  5. soda room-storage organization
  6. basement boxes
well i better get moving, and go lay out clothes for the fun of tomorrow. and clean out my purse, and get my must haves packed. like diapers, wipes, extra outfit for kids that blow out, sanitizer,
my book, for my own entertainment. chapstick, bandaids, wipes.

oh and please note the Top Mama button on the side. i want to be a top mama. whenever my picture gets posted. your clicks could keep me there. how cool is that? anyway. very cool!

Good for you! I was feeling so good today that I have finished Sade's room, that I did nothing. Just finished reading The Host. Loved it! Definitely room for a sequel!

WTG on summer time purging! I LOVE IT! I never "got" what was so great about Spring Cleaning because we moved every yr. Now that we are staying put for a while, I see the need for it! Goodwill will be VERY happy next weekend when I take them an entire full size van full of stuff we do not need anymore!

YEah, I TOTALLY get your dinner deal. TOTALLY. Michael gets distracted by housework too (NOT THAT I AM COMPLAINING!) but he does forget to feed the kids in the morning. LOL In our house, Michael does the kitchen at night while I do laundry.

BTW.. did you notice a difference staying focused on cleaning yesterday with your Adderall? I started back on concerta without telling Dh and he wondered how come rooms were completely clean instead of the entire house just half cleaned. LOL

Hope you guys have a fun day today and I think the matching clothes is a great idea.

Congrats on tackling the girls room too. I love the feeling of accomplishment when i get something done that I've been meaning to do for forever...

Okay, so maybe I'm retarded, but I went to the top mama link and I'm not sure what I need to do to help you out.

So did the RX help? I'm hoping to clean out and purge the boys' closet and mine today. Gotta get ready for school clothes. I only have 34 days until it starts.

I hope you had a fun outing!

Sounds like you are gettin a lot done. Now I just needs some motivation to get something done here!

My family never comes when I call them so I go ahead and eat and leave it on the table for them when they are ready. If they dont like it they have to eat it anyway and eat it cold.

I love the supper idea for summer. Too hot to cook, too.

My deep cleaning involves a black bag of toys to the trash!

♡ I hate that too! THe part where dinner is on the table and you know who has to take FOREVER to get there! Usually on the freaking computer! ERR! Completely understand!!! Expectations are not to high on that one!!! :)

I love the matching idea! I'm constantly trying to remember what the kids had on!

You're nicer than me I tend to just say whatever is pissing me off! Good job! ;)

Good luck on your list!!! Have a great week!

I love it when I have a project weighing me down completed. I am so stuck in half finished jobs all the time.

I made dinner last night and NO ONE came in to eat it. I was pretty mad too. I hate cooking and so the eating together and enjoying is all that matters to me too!

Although my overflowing laundry I might be okay with skipping dinner if he was doing laundry (maybe).

I have my kids matching for he same reason!! I get the frustration with cooking. Why do I do all that work for nothing or a load of complaints!
Hope todays outing is fun and I can't wait to hear about it.

Oh, how I need to dig into my kids rooms. Badly.

Having the kids home all summer seems to mean an awful lot of cooking, doesn't it? I feel like that's all I've done this summer is cook, clean up, make snacks, clean that up (and still all I hear is "I'm hungwy" all day.)

I came over from think happy thauts. The funny thing is I recognize about 4 of the other ladies that have commented on just this post alone. It was an enjoyable read. I hope you had fun today!
No, I don't think it is too much to expect everyone to come to the table. I had the same issue this evening. I did the prep work, hubby cooked and then took the oldest to scouts and didn't even sit to eat. I don't make dinner often, you would think that when I did, everyone would sit up and take notice.
Sorry, you just got a rant for a comment!
Have a Great Evening.

Good job on all the cleaning and organizing!

I love to wear matching outfits or matching colors and I like your reasons why you do it...Maybe I'll use some of those next time someone asks me why...LOL
