9/11

um i dressed the kids in the requisite color scheme. i achieved new and fabulous hairstyles. in a timely manner i might add. and prepped the kids for talk about today. Patriots day.

i filled in those that don't recall the tragedy. informed so that if the teachers ask what is special about today they will be up on it.

Paxton was highly intrigued and informed our other kids. glad to be the first/most informed of the day.

I still cry about it, too...every year. This is one wound that time will never fully heal.

Thank you for the beautiful video. "The resolve of our nation is being tested."

I can't believe I was alive for such a crisis.

My friends went to NY to visit 2 years ago. It was so emotional in person, too.

You are totally rockin' it as a mom today! Way to go. We've been watching some shows about it that have been on this week. Brings back all those feelings and emotions from back then, and I still cry, too.

You have gotten a lot more done today than I have. :)

I still shed tears from time to time over the memorable day. This is one we will never forget!

It's hard to believe it's been 7 years already. We all feel so connected to this tragedy, can you imagine what it must have felt like to lose someone you loved? I can't even imagine.

I went and bought a flag at Walgreens...1/2 price too might I add. So now we are as patriotic as we will get.

Yesterday one of my kids were wearing a flag T-Shirt..does taht count?

I am lame and you are totally awesome and have it together.

Great video! Little mad you got it first!!

My dad was in New York on that day, just down the street for a board meeting. He got a rental car and drove all the way home. I didn't know he was there on business till later! I am sure glad I had no idea because I would have been a WRECK!!

That day seems to be frozen in time for all of us . . . .

Thank you for the reminder. This video gave me chills and tears. I wish I would've taken time to talk to Marina about 9/11 today. Definitely tomorrow. You did inspire us to all wear red, white & blue today ... thanks!

I am proud to be an American. I have talked with the oldest child and he does understand what happened. The 3 year old is still too young to understand. Last year they even talked about it preschool. It was nice to see that they were educating them, even at the age of 4. It was age appropriate and they gave them enough information to educate, but not enough to scare them. Glad to see that some educators have to guts to share such a harsh American tradgey. 7 years later it is still sobering and gives me chills.

7 years ago, on September 11, that morning before the horrific events occured, we found out we were expecting our first child. I'll never forget that day or the fear I felt of bringing a child into this world.

What a sad day, your video from u-tube was very touching. The flags out in Sandy Utah are amazing if you ever get the chance to see them. Thanks for the inspiration to be a better American.
