friday festering. more random thoughts.

somehow the week has flown by,

i haven't done much.

the kids are home from yet another week of school.

this is the week I've come to hate making lunches and early mornings.

how long ago was is that i was rejoicing about back to school?

now that we are fully into it. i have a silent daily dread for getting up every morning. and hustling 4 kids out the door. and making 4 lunches. sometimes more than half a lunch is discovered from the day before. How annoying is that?

i loved this...

i am THRILLED WITH HER!

she's real, she has a real family. they aren't perfect. but what family is?

It's my opinion: being real is always better than being perfect.

blogging this week has taken a further turn toward random confessions. it will pass eventually.

bear with me.

OH and I'm having a commenting break. it's horrible. i feel major guilt about not commenting faithfully on everyone's blogs. to the point i'm almost ready to take comments off mine, so i feel no guilt about getting 20 comments on a post, and know i should reciprocate more than i do.

so just know in advance. i'm on a break. and yes i feel guilt. and worse yet i usually still read. just don't comment. the ULTIMATE in LAME-BLOGGER-NESS. (totally made up word you expect that from me right?)

i wanna know.

do you think i should take commenting off my blog ?

or do you prefer to be able to comment, even though i may not reciprocate?

of course this won't happen until after the blog giveaway next week! come back monday for that.

it's awesome. you don't want to miss out.

So there we are.

have a fab friday. fab weekend. etc.

Are you kidden me, this is how I feel like I communicate with people over the age of 5. Don't take it off, don't feel bad, were not going anywhere.

don't feel guilty, we don't have to comment, we like to whether you do or not.. It's are choice, not a tag team...

ok gotta stop nowwwww!!

Don't take it off!!! If you have something to say, then say it... otherwise don't worry about it!!

Don't take it off. We all go through it. I'm terrible at commenting these days. I think it's been since a few months back when like ALL of my husbands family keeps a blog and NONE of them live here, so it's my only way of keeping in touch with them. (Ok, only 7 of the 9 children have blogs, but his parents both have a blog, plus his stepmom...by the time I'm done reading/commenting on all of theirs plus MY families blogs, it's like, ugh!) I try to keep up with everyone else's as best as I can and just comment when I really feel inspired to or when I can really connect with what the person is saying. Y'know? Like Devri said....it's not a tag team. Don't feel pressured. Just enjoy! :)

We missed you today, btw...but it sounds like you missed us too...too funny! We'll get it right next time!

Don't take commenting off! You know you like it! Plus I like to be able to comment whenever I want if I feel like it. When you take it off, I feel like I MUST comment but can't, then I send you a separate email. So either way, you hear from me. Much easier for me if you leave comments ON. LOL

My Mom told me about Palin's little girl & using her spit to straighten the baby's hair! {My mom used to do that to us or to clean something off our faces! I am totally NOT one of those moms, never could bring myself to do that cuz I never liked it! hahaha} I'm glad you put that video on here! I love that she has young kids & can totally relate!

BTW - I HATE making lunches too. You're not alone! But I'd rather make them than spend more money on school lunches! I have always HATED morning school *get ready* stuff. But once they're out the door I can usually relax for a little bit. That's nice!

Don't take off the comments and don't feel guilty about when you can't get to commenting on others. It happens. I of course though will be totally ticked off if you don't leave ME a comment (kidding). I love everything about Sarah Palin. I usually hate politics and listening to them blah, blah, blah, but loved listening to her. And Luvpilot is excited for me to get my glasses now. Wonder why that is??

Oh yeah, see you at the shower tomorrow??

Here's my take on commenting: Don't take them off! People have free will and OPTIONS! If I don't feel like commenting...I DON'T. And I don't care if anyone doesn't like it. If I feel at all pressured or obligated to comment, I will be sure NOT TO. Ain't I a BRAT?

As for Sarah Palin, LOVED her the first time I heard her speak. She's going to someday be our first female President, and I will be waving my flag. Big smooch to her!

O.K. I feel better knowing that it wasn't just my blog you weren't commenting on! (especially since you are one of my few commenters.)
I miss your comments, but I totally understand. I don't know how you kept up with it all anyway!
You deserve the break. But you should keep your comments on.

You are always so good about commenting. SO if you want to take a break, you totally deserve it. Don't take commenting off of your blog. Nobody is forced to comment. If we don't want to, we won't;) Enjoy your break. You are entitled!

1-love the video. It is the reason moms have big families, to watch the siblings behave nicely to each other.

2-take the guilt out of blogging. It is not like Christmas where you have to send them a card/gift because they got you one. It all turns out even in the end.

Just let yourself comment on what moves you. Then you might notice more things start to move you. (And people get affirmation from comments; don't torture yourself anymore.)

WE have enough in life to guilt ourselves over. Blog commenting shoul NEVER be one of them. YOu do what you can do:) Have a fab weekend:)

Jenifer said...

Don't you have enough to worry about without worrying about commenting? Leave it on and comment when you want. No guilt. I LOVE the Palins. That clip is so precious. I rewound it when it was on the other night to keep wathcing it.

KayDee said...

I agree with all the others! Leave your commenting on! If you feel the need to comment then go ahead but if you dont, dont! There is nothing to feel guilty about! Blogging is a release and should be something fun for us to do!

I am liking Palin too! I didnt get to see the convention so seeing the clip was fun! SOOO Cute!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Okay, so my opinion is to leave your comments on even though you aren't commenting on others right now. Maybe it's because I'm a really lame blogger and I don't comment all the time. (It's really like I comment hardley at all), and it's just because i'm lazy. But if I didn't have the chance to comment when i really wanted to that would bug. So don't feel guilty about not commenting because we all go through times when we need to take and not give. Some peoples (like mine) just last longer than others.

Hey, you need to stop shouldin on yourself! You do not need to think you should comment etc! We love to read your blog, and we love to leave comments to let you know what we think. Keep the comments!
I loved that clip too! Fantastic family.

Wow... and I thought I was the only one who was lunch weary.... every morning, I am up at 5:40am, breakfast for the boys by 6am, lunches made and out of the house by 6:40am, to meet the bus at 6:55am...
all that would be fine, if I could get to bed before 1am... 4 and a half hours a nite ain't cuttin it...

No worries! I think that people who blog JUST to see how many comments they get aren't blogging for the right reasons. Please don't take away your comment section! I know you have lots to do and I am totally guilty as well of reading and not commenting....just part of busy life. But, I do read your blog faithfully and if I enjoy the post and have time I try to comment but understand when I don't or can't just as I know you are in the same vote. So please keep it.....I love to say HI whenever I can! :) HUGS!

dude,,,love that video and i love her.

seriously, i stopped commenting on people who stopped commenting on me, so that totally works. i will catch ya in reader...feel free to do the same. i still love ya!

no guilt!

Don't worry about responding to everyone that comments on your blog. I don't feel like that's required....especially when you really have nothing to say. Then it just seems lame.

I watched Palin's speach and saw her daughter doing that with the baby's hair. I thought it was hysterical and showed that kids will be kids no matter what and it gave her family a sense of real-ness for me too.

Don't take the comments off. We love it when you comment, but it's fine when you don't. I haven't even had time to read anyone elses blog for the last week.

We are huge fans of Sarah Palin as well. I think she knocked Obama out of the White House. That clip was adorable.

Don't stop us from dropping in to say hi...and I am so with you...and its ok that you don't always comment. Life gets in the way sometimes and if nothing else, we all can agree! Let us come and lift you up and when things get a bit slower for you, you can do the same. After all, what are we all doing this for?

Jenn said...

no no no--- leave commenting. And don't worry about always commenting on everyone elses. Especially mine. I am cool. If that helps to have one less to worry about--- :) But leave yours so I can comment on the few occasions I do--- okey-dokey!!

i think everyone else has said it, but leave the comments on. heck, i don't always have stuff to say, but sometimes i do and it's kinda the only way i communicate with you. and sometimes it's just fun to read the posts and NOT have to worry about commenting. ;) have a super fun break.
