random questions i always wonder about. i wanna know about you, your house, your life.
hey i hope you play along.
either comment here or on your own blog as a post. i'd love to know what you think about some of these randoms.
1. how often do you buy toilet paper, what brand and what size pack do you use? how long does it last at your house?
i buy Charmin ultra mega pack at COSTCO once a month, and let me tell you it barely lasts a month. according to the package it's 30 jumbo rolls which equals 75 regular rolls. seriously when it gets to the end of the pay period, it gets down to like 3 rolls in the house , no extra. SCARY!
2. paper plates? do you use them? how often? what brand? how long do they last at your house?
I buy Dixie paper plates. again the costco mega pack. and we could use 2 mega packs a month and still run out. we use them for every meal, snack etc. sometimes more than one per person for those who can't have salad next to regular food. or dessert on the same plate you ate on.(eww on both and I'm talking about me , and a bunch of kids and every guest we have) and only use "real plates" when we are out of paper. it's a sad day when we have to eat on "real plates".
3. if you have to buy something embarassing(tampons, condoms, lube, pregnancy tests, yeast infection treatment kits) what do you do? can you plop down the one embarassing item and feel good about it? or do you buy a bunch of filler stuff you don't need to avoid the focus on the one item? do you pick a certain gender of cashier? do you drive to an out of the way store? will your husband make the run for it? or is that your job?
i buy extra filler stuff, and pick a girl cashier if i can, same age or older. my husband doesn't make the run for those and i'm not truly embarassed anymore (since highschool) if i am buying more than one item. i can buy anything and feel FINE about it. and giggle at the grown adults who are obviously uncomfortable looking at that section of the store. or buying it. seriously i think i figure everyone buys it or should buy it sometime. why be embarassed?
4. what is the silliest, stupidest, or lamest Job/career aspiration you ever wanted, considered or had? what was your dream job? in jr. high? in highschool? in college?
i wanted to be a hippy animal farmer (in jr. high) with 12 kids. i wanted to be a QVC shopping channel hostess/model ( mid high school). i considered being a Psych. major and psychologist in college. i considered being a passion party consultant for a couple weeks. i'd still love to be an estetician. or a cosmetologist. and i'd REALLY enjoy being a nurse practitioner, or Physicians assistant now.
5. which is better fat and happy? or thin and bitchy?
Honestly at this point if you ask Lance I'm fat and bitchy. lucky him. even wehn i was thin i wasn't happy. my ideal would be happy with wherever i am . most of the time. i'm happily in denial about my weight. and really in the eternal scheme of things weight doesn't matter right? right. it's all about dressing for your size. i hope i do. more often than not i think i do. not that i couldn't be thinner, but for me to be thin i'm afraid i'd be bitchier, and should just stick with fat and moderatly happy. since bitchier would be SUPER SCARY! (i'm sure Lance is thinking...like there is such thing as bitchier?love you honey! )

1. Whenever we are close to running out, I buy whatever's on sale. No store brand though, it just doesn't cut it.
2. Paper plates - Never.
3. Embarassing things - girl cashier if possible, no filler, and I'll send my hubby if I can... just because I can. I'm not embarassed anymore, but I would imagine a young male cashier would be.
4. I always wanted to be a teacher growing up. I'm an esthetician. I love it, but I'm a SAHM right now. Yeah, I always thought that would be more fun than it is...
5. Well, I was fat and happy, but now I'm getting bitchy, so I might as well be thin!
1- Kirkland brand from Costco, basically whatever is cheapest!
2- Not usually, I buy them for family parties and dinners, but never for an everyday usage (but then again I only have 2 kids! not alot of dishes there!)
3- Well you read my blog today!
4- Always wanted to be a Mom, and if I had to work I have always enjoyed the medical field or I have always thought about writing.
5- Thin and Happy, oh wait that wasn't an option, hmmm well I am happy, and "plumpish" that I can live with! LOL do I need to go into Jeff's delight at seeing my love handles the other day (thankfully I know he loves me no matter what I look like, those love handles were earned dangit!).
1. I don't buy one brand consistently, but I must buy a 24 pack at Wally World about 2x/month.
2. Only use paper plates for family parties, although I try to keep some at home for really rushed days.
3. I stock up ahead on those items, so I always buy with other filler stuff. Cashier demographics don't matter to me at that point, so I am no longer embarrassed.
4. From about 7th grade I wanted to be in advertising, which is what I majored in at college. Then I graduated and found out it doesn't pay much.
5. Fat and happy.
So, which is better....fat and happy or thin and bitchy? ;)
1. We always bought Charmin until they changed everything. Now, whatever is on sale. Usually 9 or 12 large rolls. And is it just me or is 2-ply way too thick (especially Charmin)?
2. We use paper plates when we have take-out or there are no more clean dishes in the house (which is way too often).
3. I only ever buy tampons - don't need the other stuff. Fillers only if it's a LARGE box of super plus. And DH never, I repeat NEVER buys it for me. He's more embarrassed than anybody else. Lame.
4. I was a copy machine person (lame-ass) at my college's law school library. Dumbest job ever. Nobody ever needed copies made for them unless I didn't show up for work, and then everybody needed them.
I've always wanted to be a professional ballerina. Backup choices are astronomer or veterinarian. But I'm too lazy to go back to school. Passion Party Consultant? Hmmmm....
5. Fat and happy. Although I'm working toward moderate and happy. Is that possible????
Great questions. I had fun answering them. :-D
1.Cheapest sale or giant bag from Sams club
2.Always paper. As a fellow mom of 6 I think you'd agree, they are essential!
3.I'm still embarrased! I send hubby for anything relating to sex and have fillers for tampons! He wants the sex..he gets to be embarrassed!
4.A stay at home mom (what was I thinking?)
5.Skinny and bitchy. I am fat and sometimes unhappy, so maybe another combo might work better! If I am going to be bitchy anyhow, I might as well look fantastic doing it!
I buy the big thing of tp at Costco and it lasts about 3 months.
I love paper plates, but don't always buy them.
My loving hubby has bought me yeast infection meds and tampons before. He is earning Heaven points for sure. I like to have fillers. Once there was two little boys on that aisle looking at the toys and I walked around the store until they were gone. I am mature.
Always wanted to be a mom.
Happy no matter what your size is best!
1. Angel Soft. Whatever package is cheapest at the time I need it.
2. Actually can't stand paper plates. 'Course there is only one of me so the chances of me running out of real plates would be indication that something has gone terribly wrong with my washing abilities.
3. Well, all I purchase at this point in my life are tampons. And yeah, not the most comfortable to buy, but not super embarrasing either.. Although I would love to have a reason for that whole 'monthly' thing. Yeah, I will sometimes throw some filler stuff on there with the tampons. Like gum.
4. Dream Job. When I was in highschool it was to be an interior designer. In college, I wanted to be an interior designer who did commercial AND residential interiors. The job I have now fits my category of my dream job. But now, I'd rather be an international humanitarian aid volunteer. Or, maybe even a mom.
5. I don't know. I've talked to my mom about this a lot. lol. fat and happy. enjoy the sweetness of life, i say.
1. TP... Costco SUPER HUGE Kirkland brand... don't know how fast, I just go buy more when we are running low!
2. LOVE paper plates (have to be DIXIE!!!) I usually use real plates because it saves $$$ and I pull out the paper for parties and when I REALLY don't feel like washing dishes!
3. Embarassing things... I pick the nerdiest BOY and go to him... it's more fun when it's your ONLY item! Heehee...
4. I've just always wanted to be a nurse... nothing else... so no fun answer for me here!
5. I'm making my own... Thin and Happy... because the thinner I'm getting the more happier I am. I still eat what I want and the scale does go up and down a bit, but I haven't been this happy with myself in a long time. I'm much more of a *itch when I feel FAT!!!
Thanks for posting this... it was fun!
I buy the Costco pack of toilet paper at Costco but I cannot buy Charmin because it clogs our toilets like no other! So I get the kirtland one. I pay no attention to how often I buy it but I have been known to get low, too low.
Embarrassed to admit that although we have beautiful plates and china we ALWAYS use paper plates. Also from Costco. We only use real plates when we run out. Oh and Dad and Mom get them at dinner.
I once ordered condoms online because we did not want to buy them. Ha ha. So you could say I hate buying that stuff. My new birth control has saved me because I buy neither tampons or the other stuff now. YAHOO!!
I always wanted to be a teacher. Not so much now. I also wanted to be a stay at home Mom.
Although I work out a lot. I still firmly believe I would rather be fat and happy than skinny and bitchy! I work out so I can still eat.
I'm finally trying to catch up on blogging...I am SO behind on everything lately--I can't seem to get organized
I also buy my TP at Costco (just he store brand though). I have NO idea how often we go through it--I've never kept track (I guess I'll have to pay attention better)
I hardly ever buy paper plates--if I do, it's for VT/HT treats usually. But I only have 2 kids, so eating off real plates isn't horrible.
I have to admit that somtimes for the "embarrassing stuff" I have gone to places with self Checkouts (Walmart/Frys...) and other times I just don't care. Funny story though--one time I was buying tampons and this guy was standing there watching me forever. As soon as I picked out a box, he picked out that same box. I totally know his wife sent him and he had NO idea what to do, so he figured if they were ok for me they would probably work for his wife.
My dream job all through JR High/High School was to be a sports reporter (then reality set in)
I am fat...but can't say I am always happy about it (wish I could be)...another thing to work on Ü
Toilet Paper? I always buy Angel Soft, 12 pack, Dbl rolls...at Walmart. One pack will last about 3-4 weeks I think, although I've never actually paid that close attention, but I know I don't buy it less than every 3 weeks.
Paper Plates? Use them daily. I try to always buy the Dixie bigger pack but I don't remember if it's 100 plates or 120 or just 80, from Walmart. Sadly I also buy styrofoam bowls, paper cups (i think they're actually plastic), plastic forks & spoons. I hate doing dishes. We use these all on a daily basis. We only use real if we're actually sitting down at the table as a family. My kids eat their cereal every morning though in styrofoam bowls, and only real ones are used when, heaven forbid, the styrofoam ones are gone..
Embarassing purchases? I typically buy that stuff when I'm buying other stuff anyway, but I think I do try for a female cashier. The last time I had to buy condoms though, that was all I was getting and it was already 9pm, so the neighborhood walmarts selfcheckout lanes were closed...I drove the extra 3 miles to the bigger walmart, just so I could use self checkout. I think I'm always more embarassed about how long I stand there trying to figure out which were the good ones to buy, than I am about checking out with them.
I remember having several ideas in mind that I wanted to be...but my mom always shot down for me, telling me they weren't good ideas. Or she'd point at that "so-n-so" is one of those, and look how she turned out...always referring negatively. I wanted to be a beautician or a hair stylist at one point. At some point I wanted to be a dental hygenist. What I wanted for the longest time though was to be a teacher...like 2nd grade-ish. I'm happy with being a SAHM for now though.
Fat & Happy or Thin & Bitchy? A few years back I was severely depressed and because of it, I lost alot of weight. I was down to my premarriage/baby weight and I was extremely happy with the way my body looked/felt. I don't think I was bitchy, but I know I was not happy with the way my life was. My marriage was not going well. After I finally pulled out of my depression, I gained all the weight back and then some...probably 35ish pounds. That was frustrating, but I realized also how much better my life was and how much happier I was. Sooo, not that you wanted that long story, but I'd say Fat and happy! Yes, that's my final answer!
1. Scott's Double roll once a week or once a month if I remember it at Sam's
2. Our China is paper plates. I buy the no name brand at Walmart.
$1.29 for 75
3. I do both. Plop it down and hide it with a magazine
4. LUNCH LADY....
Dream job would be a graphic designer.
5. fat and happy. But I wish I was just a little bit thinner, but not to thin.
Working at the high school I have become self conscious about my weight more then ever. Back then I never had a problem. Ho Hum
