monday mornin' musings

just feeling compelled to post a little somethin' . an update about my mornin'.

Joy stayed home from school she has pink eye.

her eye is pink. and crusty.

and we get to go see our fave pediatrician in about an hour. yay.

joy is pretty stoked about that too since she was convinced she should stay home because "Grandma Jones said i had a fever yesterday. "

well, by all means. stay home.

nope only if there is a legitimate reason to stay home.

the dr's office said they'd had numerous calls this morning regarding pink eye. so watch out.

for the crusty itchy pink eye.

sanitizer is my friend.

~~

wanna know what else was a proud moment this morning. we had CAKE for breakfast. MMMM

chocolate cake.( or brown if you are being asked for some by Hope.)

warmed in the microwave.

just so the frosting could melt into a delightful little puddle of ooey gooey chocolate.

all over the plate and only once did it melt and overflow over the side of my plate onto the microwave rotating thinga ma jig. only once, and only mine.

i am rad.

~~

hmm

what other delights should i tell you about?

i dropped ONE teeny tiny bottle of black nail polish in the kitchen yesterday.

of course it broke. and splattered black polish and glass in my kitchen.

and this is the best part. while cleaning it up in my standard half A$$ED way, i asked Lance when we were finishing my new tile?

of course i wonder about the easy way out. why bother with stinking the house up with acetone nail polish remover scent when i could possibly leave the wonder on the floor for a little while and get new tile? that's me.

the easy way out + me = friends

darn it. and i couldn't even be mad, since i did it. honestly i'm pretty low key about that kind of stuff. just last week. joy broke a bottle of silver nail polish in the same spot. i'm just glad it wasn't the new tile. there is something to be said for having less than FABULOUS flooring. and really the pink nail polish in the front room is still there.

again why bother?

~~

well i'd best be off to wrangle the chillun's to head off to the Dr.

i just heard the Garbage truck. outside.

then this conversation occurred on google chat:

me: is the garbage at the curb?

Lance: yes
me: yay! thank you!

yeah. we are RAD!

i needed to know
if i needed to run around scrambling for some clothing. as i sit here in my "pajama's" blogging.

~~
and bonus with the super fub busy weekend? i have accumulated 160 posts in my google reader. i'm behind again. DANG!

~~

and i'd just like to come out of the closet and admit i just jumped on the bandwagon and am officially into reading "my super hopeless romance." real or fake i don't rightly care. get on board. everyone is reading it.

~~

and don't miss out on

our costumes

a giveaway.

or me as a Witch.

it's been a funfilled weekend. glad that is over.

maybe i'll be lucky enough to find my DVR remote so i can watch Grey's anatomy today, and private practice. if not me and my computer are spending some quality time watching it online. thank goodness for that.

~~ i better jet.

have a fab monday.

Hmm....Utah has pink eye too....at least two of the kids at my house anyway. Jared stayed home friday with it, and Ellie caused me a mad scramble yesterday morning to find a sub at church since she decided to get it too. Good thing there is enough drops in that medicine bottle for both of them...saved me the 30 bucks it would've taken between the co-pay and script! :)

Ew. Pink eye stinks. That ought to be fun to keep from bouncing around your family a few more times!

You know I'm totally laid back about cleaning stuff too...sometimes I think too much. Judging by my house right now, WAY too much.

If it was at all possible, I'd seriously consider scrapping the whole house and starting over.

Oh, and about the cake...I wonder sometimes if the frosted flakes my kids scarf down in the morning are any better for them than cake. According to Bill Cosby it's the PERFECT breakfast. It has eggs, milk, grains...

I had pink eye for about a week and I was wondering why it wasnt going away. I was using the eye drops in my dads cupboard because mine were gone.

Finally, I went to my dad and said, I have had this for a week and it won't go away..and he asked what I was using. so I went and got it and then I had that paniky feeling.

I showed him and I said please don't tell me this is somthing you put where the sun don't shine. He laughed and said no, but it is for your ears.

So that would explain why it burned when I put it in. It did clear up once I used the REAL eye drops.

Yeah I am dumb!!

AHH, the beauty of getting new tile, possibly. It saved you from the "high" fumes of acetone. Are you changing your new word from "glitterastic" to "black magic", who are/were a witch for Halloween afterall.??? :)
