Happy Birthday Paxton!

Paxton is 8 years old today.

8 things about Paxton...

1. i love his dimples. they are a rare sight since he isn't a huge smiler. but when you see them they are DARLING. he knows he's cute. with his Curly hair and dimples. LADY KILLER! he's always telling me girls think he's cute because of that.

2. He's nice. Paxton has lots of friends. only siblings think he is mean. he plays really well with others. paxton is one of our more sensitive kids. if he gets called a name he's reduced to tears quickly. he sobs whenever he gets hurt. poor middle child.

3. Paxton is one of my quieter kids. let me tell ya it's a nice change. poor guy surrounded by sisters.constantly being squelched and picked on by them. he handles it incredibly well. someday his wife will thank them for training him. he's already hen pecked.

4. Paxton is REALLY smart. he's an excellent student. (aside from not doing his homework,somehow he never has any) . he's a great little reader. and prides himself in his workmanship.

5. Paxton is determined. he has recently mastered guitar hero. and has decided he's better at it than me. he's spent alot of time playing in the basement trying again and again. he ROCKS!

6. Paxton is an eater. this kid is a bottomless pit. always hungry. and he'll eat anything. he loves veggies like asparagus and broccoli. he orders hamburgers with all the trimmings. he loves tacos. and pizza. and everything else in between. he's constantly cooking instant oatmeal for himself or having cereal. everyone that has him over is shocked that he is constantly so hungry. he LOVES fruit. and eats the most out of all the kids.and yet he's so skinny. Lance is always joking that Paxton has a tape worm. we have no idea where it all goes. we can always count on him to eat. and not be picky about what it is. which is awesome.

7. Paxton's love languages have always been physical touch. (he'd lay on our lap and want us to rub his arms and legs and face and back . for hours.) quality time. he's always asking for a special treat. he needs the one on one attention. his ultimate thrill would be to go alone to the convenience store to get a treat. he's also known for staying up past his bedtime and hanging out alone with a parent. just wanting to get his own time in. whether it's watching a show together, or watching Lance play computer , he's happy to just be with us.

8. Paxton has one of the the best birth stories out of all my kids (it was the best until Pierce came and kicked it up a notch) . it was my first natural childbirth. no epidural. it included me cussing loud enough that my mom had no trouble finding my room down the hall. also me donning my tiara (actually demanding Lance go fetch it from the car so i could wear it) since i deserved it while i had no drugs. and after that ordeal. and there were a few moments " where i was yelling i don't wanna tear, i don't wanna tear!" while flapping my gown. he was also the only baby i wasn't induced with. and he was born the prettiest baby since the labor was speedy fast.and he's also my biggest baby weighing in at 8 lbs 12.5 oz(he was rumored to be big and had measure big on ultrasound the couple days before i had him,thus the tearing comments. it was totally irrational fear on my part.

SO Paxton has big plans for the day. he's staying home for a day of fun with mom. he wants some new webkinz so he gets to go pick his own. i'll let him help me bake a cake. and maybe decorate it. he's also requested some video games for his birthday.
