crazymama's adventures while driving, and random acts of kindness

today the girls had singing group.

i was driving the little car. (not my mama bus)

Ok so, little car.

one biggest kid in front, 3 in back. Pierce was riding in his car seat.

i drop off Liberty, Joy and Hope at singing group. Liberty has to let Joy and Hope out. they get out. but as usual they did a crappy job of shutting the door. but today i couldn't just lean and open and shut the door again. since i had it on kid lock.

so i figure well it's fine, i'll just pull on the door, and close it a little more. and call it good.

i drive away.

i happen to miss the driveway part down, and go off the curb. whatever.

i then start checking my email on my cell phone. yeah i do that!

i even update my facebook status while driving.

so down the street i hit the green light and make my left hand turn.

and ...

WHOOSH! the back door flies open! (on the passenger side and pierce is buckled in behind my seat)

WTH?

i had to reach really far and close the door again. but again it wasn't all the way shut!

i had to pull over, get out, get the seat belt buckle out of the way and close the door all the way.

HOLY COW.

it kind of scared the crap outta me.

so then i finished updating my facebook on my phone before i drove away and went shopping with my semi-freedom until i had to pick up the girls.

Pierce was happy to ride in the cart sipping on my giant beverage.

then this evening, after a long car ride to drop off and pick up the girls , and get dinner, and feed everyone and a long afternoon of bickering and whining . i had reached my limit of hearing little people talking in my face loudly and just being in the same room with them. PERIOD!

i escaped by myself. i attempted to go to a movie, but no one was available to go with me. so i casually perused HomeGoods/Tjmaxx, ROSS, and Target. WHOOHOOHOO!

while shopping for purses i noted that i lean to certain expensive brands. and always pick out the most expensive purses on the racks. over and over.

OH! and i did a random act of kindness tonight.

while shopping in the kids toys section, i heard a mom that had reached her limit searching for a AZ Cardinals shirt for her daughter for school spirit theme day. she'd been to 7 stores and couldn't find anything. i over heard her venting to someone on her cell phone while her daughter begged and pleaded to go to just one more store to find something.

i had to giggle at her frustration, and thought yeah, she's nicer than me, i'd say too bad and not even humor the kids with participating. and tell them to lump it.

but when i left that section and moved on through a couple more i happened upon the intimates section on my way to purses. and low and behold i found a AZ cardinals Cami , i went out on a limb and grabbed the smallest one they had, and headed back to find that lady and her daughter. figuring she could layer it over long sleeves or something.

i went up to her, and said," hey sorry but i over heard your conversation, and i thought you might be interested in this." and held it out to her.

she was ecstatic. and said, "GOD BLESS YOU!" she excitedly exclaimed to whoever she was on the phone with that I'd found what she was looking for , for her and showed her daughter who was thrilled!

and i walked away.

she had to yell across the store to me again. THANK YOU! then i heard her telling the cashier about it while she checked out.

i walked away feeling like i helped someone else out without doing anything major.

i have to say random acts of kindness feel great.
