a noodley nap day and a HOT DATE!

there was a good response on Joy's fashion statement.

best comment of the bunch?

from my fave friend SARAH (who i semi recently found from Facebook, probably the #1 reason i love facebook. finding old fave friends that i'd lost touch with)

"you see a girl who dressed herself and looked like an urchin. i see a girl who borrowed her sisters' clothes without asking and lived to tell the tale!"

So true. and excellent perspective.

thank you Sarah!

otherwise?

it was another noodley nap day. meaning i woke up from a nap to find pasta on the floor again.

somehow they never get bored with that trick.

it seriously grates.
you know how damp pasta doesn't sweep up. it just smears and sticks.

which SUCKS.

this evening we went out on a HOT DATE. really the freedom is SO DANG NICE.

i could have done without the 5 calls from Liberty...

they all went like this.

me- Hello? how can i help you?

Liberty- HIIIII! what are you doing? where are you?

me- we are ___(fill in eating dinner, driving in the car, shopping at the bookstore) what do you need?

Liberty- do you know where the remote is? we want to record some shows. (tivo)

me- Nope, look around. THIS CALL HAPPENED 3 times. getting whinier and whinier.

over the freaking cable remote.

Liberty- i just wondered what you were doing. when are you coming home?

me- in awhile. did you need anything?

Liberty- No i was just calling to say Hi.

again and again. which frankly bugs me.

i didn't mind when she called to tell me Pierce had spilled fruit punch on the couch, the white flowered one no less. and it may or may not be stained forever. that was a valid call. and the first remote call too.

the rest? just plain annoying.

Lance laughed at my frustration.

he said i do the same thing to him all the time. when he's at work.

and while that may be true. (i know it's true.)

but still i'm all about the double standard.

we had a great time though. gotta love a date.

it's pretty great when we go out and see people with little kids in tow and we think back about the years we did that.

Good times.

we were brave back in the day. taking Peyton and Liberty everywhere. now we don't have to take anyone, and that is awesome.

yeah.

AWESOME!

have a rad Saturday.

i'm sure we will be overhauling the crap hole that is the house. delightful!

FUN hot date!!! yep we've gotten those phone calls, but not for a remote, just 'when are you coming home?' calls - and that's only when I go to the grocery store alone! HAHAHA

YAY Pierce's surgery went well. Good Luck trying to slow him down for a few days! Like that's gonna happen! LOL I guess if he's ok with running around, maybe he's feeling fine.

Have a good weekend! :)
