Liberty's bling tastic basketball nest SURVIVED!
They drop the 'nests' from the top of the 3rd grade building.
it landed with a THUD!
Opening up the 'nest' to see if the egg survived?
she didn't know i'd moved to stand in a different spot.
SUCCESS!
Peyton's class came and watched the fun unfold.
i walked up to tell Liberty we were going to leave, and i found this...
she was sharing her chair with Paxton (whose class had come to watch the fun)
a rare moment of sibling friendship!
we stayed a minute longer because Hope got to sit with Liberty for a little while.
can't wait until next year...when it's Paxton's turn!
maybe Dad will come up with an example of engineering genius? we'll see!
OH and the BEST PART about today? wasn't the success of the 'nest drop' ,
or seeing blog, church , and facebook friends.
IT WAS HEARING FOR MYSELF in person,
that next year they will still have ALL DAY KINDERGARTEN!
HALLELUJAH!

How fun! What a cute nest! Congrats on her egg not breaking:)
My kids have never had to do an egg drop! I wonder why.(?)
I heard once if you put playdough around the egg it wont break.
Maybe should be thankful that they didnt have to do this and that its one less homework thing I dont have to do:) (hehe)
Fun seeing you there! Liberty's "nest" was sure cute, although the thud scared me for her egg.
That was such a fun video! We've done that before, as a family. Decorate and egg, wrap it real well, and then drop it from somewhere high. What fun!!
How fun and AMEN to the keeping of all day kindergarten.
Great job! Love the video. And the sibling love - gotta love that! Will we have all day kindergarten? I don't know about that. I'm thinking my friends would be happy if they DID!
Glad her nest survived. Fun. I love watching my kids interact at school. They act totally different than they do at home.
All day kindergarten I would cry. My girls make the deadline for next year but only by one day and only cuz they were preemies. So it's another year of preschool for them and me :)
Some kids are more ready than others. Lindsey made me nuts, she needed it for social reasons. She would have loved (as would I) all day kindergarten.
