GUESS WHAT?

I had a SUPER EXCLUSIVE GUITAR HERO/ROCKBAND Birthday PARTY!
thrown for me by my FAVE FRIENDS! they love me.

it was ROCKING!

and kind of super exclusive for 2 reasons.

1. we only invited 7 people that openly profess their love/obsession of Guitar Hero or Rockband. and they had to have a certain level of ability to fit into the band.

so we'd have a total of 8 rocking ladies to Party like rock stars and play all NIGHT! so we ,in theory, could battle with the other team and never have to not play. because we are all die hards.

2. it was ONLY LADIES. which ended up offending at least 3 guys.

NOW for the DETAILS OF OUR ROCK TOUR!

we gathered at Jen's to party in her hubby's super secret private gaming suite. we had the beloved barro's , and delicious salad, there was an abundance of candy. and pellet ice and beverages.

it was everything i love and more.

we rocked from 8:30 - 1 ish? with only a couple breaks for eating. and ended the night with FABULOUSLY entertaining conversation with the ladies. best night out EVAH! seriously dying, almost peed my pants, gut aching, face hurting laughter.

I loved it!

seriously the best birthday party I've EVER had!

this officially redeems my 32nd birthday. all is forgiven because this party ROCKED and made up for the suckfest that the actual day was.

so here is a super special thanks to these ladies for coming to rock! and for liking me enough to celebrate my birthday with me. even after my horrible illness, and miraculous recovery, of course the miracle was mostly due to Jen's faithful fasting and prayer for my quick recovery!

gotta give credit to my band mates.

Jen, for being the co-organizer , making ROCKING invites, doing all the house prep, dealing with the wrath of the hubs that felt violated at the use of the inner sanctum ,making trades etc.providing and organizing party food. For staying out late for the always fun late night ladies chats. for the fasting and prayers on my behalf ;) for being a RAD FRIEND!

Lindsey- for being the co-organizer , bringing the cheesecake, hauling all of her gear to Jen's, dealing with the wrath of her husband and making certain trades to allow for use of said gear and xbox use. and staying out late for the always fun late night ladies chats with actions added to her excellent storytelling ability that never disappoints. it's always better after midnight! and super thanks for being a RAD friend!

Andrea- for asking Ben for use of his Xbox, dealing with the wrath, and making certain trades for use. Plus coming and playing getting stuck on drums so i didn't have to play drums. and staying out late for the always fun late night ladies chats.for staying out until 'tomorrow' everytime we go out, oh and for being a rad friend!

Suzanne-for coming bringing awesome candy, for staying out late and the late night ladies chats with extra informative information, for loving dr.pepper, and having mad skillz at drums and guitar.and for being a rad friend.

Breanna- for coming to party with the ladies, for having FABULOUS information with entertaining insight, for her mad skills at guitar hero, and for the birthday treat even thought she doesn't know me all that well. love that! and for being a new rad friend. hope she doesn't mind being included in my list?

Shannon- for coming and partying with the ladies, singing all night long, letting her hubs play along and offering up his gear so we could play and scoring us rad scores, for staying out way later than normal, and for being a new rad friend.i hope we didn't scare you off.

Ashley-for coming, and playing with the ladies even after a long night out with the hubs, after a long week of late nights.and for the fabulous treat of your company and the super fun gift. i can't wait to relax with it.and THANKS FOR BEING A RAD FRIEND!

honorable mentions are due to the Roadies. since no band can get by without them.

-JEFF who allowed us use of the inner sanctum. (aka super awesome Gaming garage) and for his help in prepping the house, and for letting us keep your wife up until the wee hours.

-Ben allowed us use of his beloved XBOX and rockband drums and let his wife stay out until the customary next day. every time we go out, he says, "so i'll see you tomorrow?" we never disappoint the man.

-Alan allowed Lindsey to take the Xbox and the guitar hero gear. and for letting her take the car and be out past 4:00.

-Joe loaned us use of his Whole rockband set plus some of his expert skills. for letting Shannon stay out way past her bed time . special thanks for not mocking the girls that only play on medium. ;)

and to the other husbands! thanks for letting your wives stay out super late to party like rockstars.

now, I'd like to thank

THE HUBSTER for letting me miss the family graduation party and taking the herd alone, for letting me have my own birthday celebration with the ladies, MY FAVE FRIENDS, and for not minding the super late night out.

an extra special thanks for finally getting up and letting me in, after waiting outside the front door for 15 minutes while you slept dead to the world. no amount of knocking, pounding on the door, or doorbell ringing woke you. after my cell phone battery died, not that you heard my calls, but I REALLY appreciate that you finally noticed the thud of the grapefruit hitting our bedroom window, and the wall of the house. and i super extra appreciate you not being mad at all about waking up to let me in at 3:30 am. ( i think it was the cheesecake i was offering that smoothed that over)

there was an abundance of pictures taken. I'm sure all of which were UNFLATTERING of me. but if i see them or someone sends them i'll be sure to post them . I'm afraid they will make an appearance on facebook as well. (i took pictures on my cell but apparently they SUCK and you can't see what the heck they are. darn it!)
