Housework is something you do that nobody notices until you don't do it.

OK so the reality of it is....

apparently putting too much faith in this ...

Don't cook. Don't clean. No man will ever make love to a woman because she waxed the linoleum - "My God, the floor's immaculate. Lie down, you hot b!tch." ~Joan Rivers

was unwise because, I was always under the impression that if you "worked it" elsewhere in the house, well the housework could go. recently, I've found this theory is NOT TRUE.

and i put too much emphasis on this as my excuse...

Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing is like shoveling the walk before it stops snowing. ~Phyllis Diller

especially because this is my usual method....

My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance. ~Author Unknown

apparently,

that method is totally NOT Good enough either.

yeah.i know, i'm AWESOME!

so at my house?

Cleanliness is next to impossible.
~Author Unknown

in case you wonder how my marriage is? it's FREAKING AWESOME! (dripping with sarcasm)

LOVED all the quotes and sayings!!!! So, so true. All of them. But unfortunately, it still means the house is a mess. What I hate is working your butt off all day, but while you are cleaning up one room, the freaks, er, children, are destroying the rest. I feel your pain.

CRACK THAT WHIP! You didn't make all the mess, so why should you clean it all up?! No way. My poor kids had to help me all morning in their rooms, playroom, and picking up the rest of the house. Then I sent them outside so I could load a huge black bag that's on it's way to DI. :)

I suggest you do the same.

I've left my room once today. Once. Cause the mess is stressing me out. And maybe if I don't look at it then it will go away.
I cleaned my ass of the other day, went to bed then the next day when I could hardly move and was cramping I walked into the front room first thing that morning to find it TRASHED again.
I'm so crappin sick of it, so I am resorting to hybernating in my room and hoping the cleaning fairy will somehow visit my house.

Yup. My house is still clean from Bunco. If I come home from camp to a mess, I will lose it.

Maybe it's time to give flylady another shot.

Jewels,
Totally feeling your pain in this department. I do the best I can and then if they don't like it let them clean it up!!!!!!!!!! If my husband complained I would have to hurt him and then claim insanity by way of PMS!!!!!! LOL
Hope your day gets better.
We all love you here in blogging land.

♥ We've been doing a 10 minute clean up once in the morning and once right before bed and I have to say it's working really well although this morning I looked at the kitchen/dining room and was wondering what happened! Sunday is the day where things just kind of go to crap... back to the grind today though... I love the 10 minute thing though it's awesome! Of course when I first started it hte house was a crap hole so it didn't work as well but the next day I clean the whole stinking house and it's been much easier to "keep" it up... Especially when the kids get to do the stuff I especially HATE doing! :)

I have decided the house will be clean when the kids are grown and out of the house. I can only do what I can do, and hopefully it is enough. IF the house isnt clean enough for the Hubbster, he can do it!

I always feel like my hubby is complaining in his head if I don't keep it clean. He says he doesn't do that, BUT...I do it to him. I am much more "in the mood" if he's productive during the day or helps me with dinner, etc.

Love the quotes. And how are we supposed to keep it clean with the kids at home all day?

Love the quotes!! Summer time is the absolute worst time of year for my house, I can't imagine doing it with 6 at home! They would make messes faster than I would be able to clean!! I am fighting a loosing battle with just the two of them, and I have a hubby home all day that isn't helping the matters!

House work and I have a love hate relationship. I know my kids hate that I love to make them clean, oh well, no maids living here!! Love the quotes:)

I am right there with you!!! The first one is fitting for me--- I think I'll blow it up and plaster it on my living room wall!

1 hour to clean , 1 minute to mess it up, that is how it is at our house with 7, you know it too!

hugs, on this day!

Cleaning is the bain of my life. I have to do it, but its just never ever done. It's the most non rewarding thing. It's relentless. My husband can so much as complain about a needed load of whites and I bite his head off. I never get comments about the clean house ever either, just irks me. LOL!

I love it! You crack me up. i have to say that, for the first time, I am learning to "keep" my house. Now that my kids a little older and not hanging from my legs all day long, I am managing to clean up a bit...and I kind of like it. Shocking, i know. A little bit of order makes my head clearer and my mood sunnier, and that is good for everyone:)

I'm right there with you, sister. And right now they are all driving me crazy. If I can just get through the summer with everyone still standing, it will be a surprise...
